Good morning peeps, I'm just feeling very thankful to God after he saved me from armed robbers.
I know he saved me cos I was reading the bible (I have no idea why) before they broke into my house and I remember before that, I was reading a passage about Gideon and how he got signs from the Lord to show that God approved of him and I remember saying in my heart that if only I could also get a sign from God (to which I laughed).
Funny enough, that night there was a robbery operation carried out on my street and when I heard the first gunshot, I held tightly to the bible and I was totally scared. I don't know what happened to me, but I began to pray and shed tears begging God for forgiveness (although I didn't believe a word I was saying).
Then, an amazing thing happened, the robbers broke into my house and they couldn't see me. I was sitting down right there on the couch and they just walked right past me (by this time, I was sweating profusely).
I was honestly confused at what I was witnessing, I was right there with them and they kept on saying among themselves "nobody dey this house jhor". After that, they ransacked the house and parted away with cash and other valuable items they could find and they left.
I really don't understand what happened but all I know is that God saved me, an unbeliever.
I'm so humbled and grateful to God for now I know that there truly is a God and he cares for his own.
I urge my atheist brethren to have a rethink on their stance for surely God must exist and I am living proof of his existence.

Lol, I just saw you already mentioned it happened at night. In that case, the darkness and the cloth you were wearing might have prevented them from seeing you. Our eyes as effective as it is does not just see certain things. Magicians use that deficiency in the eye to great effect.

Secondly, what happened to you is not enough evidence there is any God. Had it been you were reading "The God delusion" at that moment, same thing might have happened.

I also tried to rationalize it while it was happening and although it was night and the room was dark (not pitch-dark though), one of the men mistakenly kicked my foot in annoyance and I screamed (thinking they had found me and also thinking I was good as dead) but he just hissed and said "nobody dey dis house jhor". And then, I realised something else was happening, I was invisible to those that wanted to harm me.
Another thing, my neighbor was surprised when she saw me this morning and when I asked why, she said she heard when I screamed. God is amazing.

Lol, I just remembered those good old days when we usually played hide and seek at home. Me, my younger brothers and friends. One person is usually asked to face the ground without looking up while others go to hide. The person who was initially facing the ground then starts looking for you.

It happens several times that, the person seraching reaches where you are, looks and looks in your direction and still fails to see you.

What happened to you is a very natural and explainable phenomenon.

My advice to you brother is, next time, don't try it. You might not be very lucky. If possible, run as fast as you can

One day, I might pull this prank on a "born again" christian


-Dress up as an armed robber and attack the born again person on saturday night when he saying night prayers
-During the fake robbery, I will claim that the spirit of Jesus is too much ad then abort the robbery
-Knowing the imb.ecilic nature of these kind of christians, the born again person would have testimony on Sunday morning in church that he was saved from robbery by Jesus
-Sunday night, I will come back again, scare him to bits by threatening to kill this time.....then after, I will shout "April fools" or "syke" and explain that it was all a prank.

They just finished robbing. The screaming might have appeared to have come from the next room. You were just fortunate brother.

Hahaha, another way to test the efficacy of prayers; Add sniper to a delicious meal in the presence of a Christian. Tell him or her to pray on the food and then go ahead to eat it. My spiri-koko friend failed this test as he vehemently refused to eat the food.
