BetaThings:
Nobody has monopoly of knowledge but if you don't know don't make up stories
If Christianity has always been peaceful, then how come you needed the doctrine of discovery to assume control over the whole of America (North, Central and South
What and how did the native Americans take from Christians
The same thing happened in Asia - look at the Philippines for instance
What exactly was taken from the Catholics to justify the murderous campaign for them in Vietnam?
If some Christians had attacked the SE
of Nigeria in order to bring the "Word of God" to them, would you have put that down to reclaiming what was taken from them?
The Wars of Religion fought between
Christians was to reclaim what exactly?
Please also explain the Spanish Inquisition and St Bartholomews Day Massacre
American soldiers in Iraq were busy
spraying Crosses on Mosques in Iraq - can you explain that too
and we both know that Iraq war was pit down to the need for oil

When did the Ottoman Empire collapse
When did the Bosnia war start?

It is ambitious for muslims to want a mosque in the vatican when they cannot get one in the River State University in "secular" Nigeria
So all the Christians living in Malaysia, UAE, Qatar, Libya have converted or
what?
Even during the war in Libya Christians did not want to return
we are not talking about conversion here, we're talking about how free Christians are to practice their religion in muslim states. Need I remind you of what's happened in Egypt just a few yrs back? Or what Saudi arabia does to any group of Christians caught worshiping together? And many more!

If different versions of bible is based on different translations of bible then why is it that catholic bible has roughly additional 70books in there own bible which is missing in pentecostal bible? Bible is the book that has always been tampered with in his history, will you please explain to me how this distortion verse below equivalent to translation using synonymous word. *BE CAREFUL!!! THEY ARE TRYING TO CHANGE IT….
PSALM 84:5 “BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE STRENGTH IS IN THEE; IN WHOSE HEART ARE THE WAYS OF THEM. 6 WHO PASSING THROUGH THE VALLEY OF BACA MAKE IT A WELL; THE RAIN ALSO FILLETHTHE POOLS.” (KING JAMES VERSION)
NOW…
Pslam 84:5 “Blessed is the man whose strength is in You; Your ways are in their hearts. 6 Passing through the valley of weeping, they will make it a fountain; the early rain also covers it with blessings.” (MODERN KING JAMES VERSION)
Psalm 84:5 “Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; In whose heart are the highways to Zion. 6 Passing through the valley of weeping they make it a place of springs; Yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings.” (AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION)
Psalm 84:5 “Blessed is the man whose strength is in You; Your ways are in their hearts. 6 Passing through the valley of weeping, they will make it a fountain; the early rain also covers it with blessings.” (ROTHERHAM BIBLE)*. I have many other verses that indicated different versions of bible have different meaning. Quran doesnt have versions, the arabic quran that is with me is d same worldwide the number of surahs n verses of Quran is the same worldwide, the translation of arabic Quran into another language may be different due to choice of synonymous words.

Nobody is disputing with you on account of your proudness to be muslim but don't come here to spew nonsense to the unsuspecting public.islam isn't a religion of peace but violence as even a 5 year Naija can attest.those countries you mentioned as backup shows you're probably in purdah or maybe a blockhead.
1)Iran:everybody knows that the islamic republic is under public tensions and on the verge of going to war anytime soon.attimes I wonder whether there was any need for their islamic revolution kos persia was beTter off under the Shah than the mullocrats we've now
2)Iraq:I'd say this was the dumbest of what you could bring up.imagine peace in a country where the Kurdish part is defacto independent whilst the remaining sunni and shia parts are engaged in bombing the hell outta each other
3)Pakistan:this country is a terrorist haven..producing,harboring and exporting terrorists throughout the globe.maybe they shouldn't have separated from india in 1947 kos they'd ve been better off if they ddnt do so
4)Libya:if it were under their strongman Gaddafiy,I'd agree with you but now, you'd even owe your lecturer marks if you give libya to him as a country of peace
5)Mali:the fact its even afrikan disqualified it plus the tuareg rebellion that resulted in the creation of azawad last year.
No mods should ban my comment unless you're driven by bigotry!!!!!
If you listed muslim countries that have conflicts due to influence of america and western world. Next time dont forget rwanda that experienced genocide is a christian country, dont forget the war between different christian sects in ireland, war is still going on in democratic republic of congo.

ignis: Why are people acting as if it's a strange thing for muslims to live in peace with the christians without killing them?
Don't you all know that Islam is a religion of peace? Or are you guys too dumb to see the peace experienced in islam dominated countries like Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya , Mali e.t.c (just to mention a few)
indeed, am proud to be a muslim.

@ Cheruv, I believe Ignis post was ironical, meaning the opposite of what she actually wrote.
We all know that peace is not synonymous to the countries mentioned above.

As I said, translations/versions are for simplicity!
I think ur confusion is the words 'Baca', 'Valley of weeping', 'highway to Zion'n etc.
U probably think Baca is referring to 'Bakkah' or 'Makkah' I guess; but that's wrong!
Baca is a word that means 'Valley of tears/weeping'. It is found on the way to Jerusalem (hence the words 'highway to Zion'). It's a valley with enormous dangers and the likes; in which the pilgrim (on his way to Jerusalem/Zion) encourages himself in faith in God's strength, praise n worship, etc!
I've compared each version u listed above side-by-side and I can't see the alteration (except u want to point it out!)
Plc make ur research: Baca is not as suggested by Dr. M S M Saifullah, Dr. Jamal Badawi, and others!
And plc, bring up the 'many other verses' that confuse u!
U think the Qur'an is but one single piece because u're taught so!
And least I forget, the 'Catholic Bible' u mentioned has only 7 additional books; not '70', which are omitted in the other Bible because of probably some controversial issues.
And plc, read the whole chapter (84) in those various versions: it'll help u understand the message!

PS:the blame game and d excuses y'all are giving for BLOODSHED are just not it...there can't b any valid reason to shed human blood....especially in This century

No one says they are valid reasons. At least, I didnt say so.

and you expect me to accept you just like that without giving me concrete evidence that proved the word BACA is synonymous to weeping, so those who kept the word BACA in the old king james version didnt know is weeping not until recently when they noticed muslims are now equating the town BACA in the bible to mecca in saudi arabia.
JustGuy: And plc, bring up the 'many other verses' that confuse u!
U think the Qur'an is but one single piece because u're taught so!
so you want me to produce more distortion in the bible and yet the only one i gave you, you still cant refute it with concrete evidence. This is another one *Luke 22 v 70
KJV; Then they said,'are you the son of God? He said unto them, you say that I am.
N.I.V: They all asked, 'are you the son of God, he said, you are right in saying I am.
L.B.V: They all shouted,'then you claim you are the son of God? And he replied, yes I am.*

am glad you testified that there are seven additional books in catholic bible which is missing in pentecostal bible, this further vindicated my previous statement about versions of bible. You now need to explain which one is the original bible, the catholic's or the pentecostal bible?

Guy, just as the op said: "Google is ur friend"! Use it plc!

U should understand that KJV is old English; which has its intricacies even in modern language, and not just the Bible!
Pick any ancient English text and u find same things; so plc study! Bible verses have commentary, plc use them!
Do read verse 73 in d versions u gave, they cannot say what they (verse 73 in the versions) say and contradict the previous verse @ the same time!

Man oh man I don't know really what to tell you.the musulmani herself gave me those countries as an indication of the peacefulness of Islam which prompted me to expose to her the idiocy of her statement kos not everybody is exposed to modern facilities(anyway Islam doesn't permit that as BH via bombing has made known to us) so pls pls stop jumping the gun cool or are you among those that fail exams kos you don't understand the questions?

you must be feeling smart and accomplished, huh??
so the violence in brazil and colombia is religion based?? ok what is your solution to it then? sharia law? to quote sheykul islam
" Pls
learn to do your homework b4 protruding
your stomach in public"

And the violence in Libya or Tunisia is religion-based?
Did people riot against Mubarak because he was not a Muslim?
The war in Iraq in 2003 leading to sectarian violence was initiated partly on religious ground by Christians - Sarah Palin said the invasion of Iraq was a duty for God

Has any christian posted to allude to the religious background of the Irish terrorism? No. Why not?
And the oppression of Cadets at West Point is clearly religious - any mention of that?

My point - Christian use propaganda to paint a peaceful impression of Christian societies
But where is the place of religious instruction/culture if countries with huge Christian population are dangerous to human health

1. Nope, I don't support infact i condemn the acts of Boko Haram in the name of religion as a sincere muslim...As this Quran verse says “If anyone slays a person, it would be as if
he slew the whole people: and if any one
saved a life, it would be as if he saved the
life of the whole people.”Quran 5:32

2.The Quran as never being tampered with and yeah it doesn't have 7 chapters missing smiley

3. The Quran is written in arabic so its translated into Other languages not manipulated or tampered with.

4. Thank God for Google? Like Seriously?? You can't find out about someone from his/her enemy..surely He won't say something good about him/her..Same goes for religious matters.
