HTML And Jsp by Profidada: 8:26pm On Dec 09, 2013
Please I have been battling with this issue for a while now and I felt this forum would help me out. I've been working with this web application and decided to link a JSP file from an HTML file. The web browser tend to display the source code of the jsp file rather than the executed code. But I did run the jsp code on its own and it executed. Pls can somebody help out with this issue.

if you are trying to run from dreamweaver, you have to set up your site to run on a jsp server.

the html page you are trying to connect your jsp to, where are you designing it? AND how did you link it

Also, which web server are you using? Try and give as much details as possible.

I designed it from netbeans and linked the jsp file (both in the same folder) . I think the link might not be the problem cos the jsp file can display in the web browser after linking it. But the source code was what was actually displayed

The server is glayfish and it is integrated into netbeans an IDE

paste the url of the jsp file, the same way you pasted it in your browser.

I thought as much. This is where the whole problem is. Your url is supposed to be something like

'localhost:8084// Theblueseasoftwaregroup /ComputeFactorial.jsp' for tomcat

or

'localhost:8080// Theblueseasoftwaregroup /ComputeFactorial.jsp' for glassfish

I also advice you change your server to tomcat.

Op, you need to set up your glassfish server properly to read the jsp files. Check YouTube or Google it, it's straight forward.
