Match Preview

Tottenham has finally been scoring goals having scored at least two in each of their last three EPL games.

They also come into Sunday’s match unbeaten in their last three matches and having won two in a row. Liverpool have not had any difficulty scoring goals this season having already amassed 34 while Luis Suarez’s 14 is just one less than Tottenham’s total tally as a team.

Liverpool have also won back to back matches, both at home, following a disappointing two match road trip in which they drew 3-3 to Everton and lost 3-1 at Hull
Despite this they are second in the table with 30 points and a +16 goal difference. Tottenham are currently in sixth place with 27 points and a -1 goal difference.

Both teams tend to play a possession based game,

however, Tottenham have mostly stuck with a 4-2-3-1
using two inverted wingers that like to cut inside.

Liverpool have mostly stuck with a 3-5-2, but have had to modify this somewhat with Sturridge out injured and set up with their own 4-2-3-1 against West Ham.
Both teams like to have their fullbacks push forward and this should lead to some exciting football.

Additionally both managers are known to be tactically aware and the strategic battle for this match will be interesting to watch.
