Obasanjo ought to be in Jail - APGA

The National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh has enjoined President Goodluck Jonathan to ignore the antics of former President Goodluck Jonathan. Speaking to journalists in Awka, Chief Umeh advised Chief Obasanjo not to misinterpret the Presidents humility as weakness, contyending that he ought to be in jail for sundry crimes against humanity, citing the Odi and Zakibiam massacres as examples.

Chief Umeh said Nigerians should hold Chief Obasanjo responsible for the present woes of the country as he bungle very bright opportunity of re-positioning and launching the country on course for sustainable greatness.

He recalled that instead of uniting the country on assumption of office in 1999, the former President carried on a war of hate against Ndigbo and continued to undermine their growth and welfare.

Chief Umeh regretted that Chief Obasanjo continued to promote ethnic and religion differences, that resulted in wholesale violence and loss of lives that qualified him to be tried for crime against humanity.

He noted that under the former President, corruption and impunity became a way of life in the country when privileged few where given monopoly on economic powers.

Chief Umeh said Chief Obasanjo’s letter was a confirmation of the heavy blow his administration dealt on democracy when election rigging and manipulations were used to muscle out opposition parties and recalled that APGA suffered the same terrible fate in 2003 when its victory was given to PDP and it took three years of legal battle to reclaim the mandate.

He made clear that Chief Obasanjo had no positive reference point or legacy for the people of Nigeria and should therefore not to be taken seriously.

The APGA Chairman noted in particular billions of dollars squander by the Obasanjo regime on the power sector with any result as well as the huge resources wasted in pursuit of a third term bid.

He presented Jonathan to continue his dedicated and commended service of building enduring democratic institutions that allow the leaders to elect leaders of their choice without interference with INEC or the peoples vote

Oh, so he now agrees the are "woes" in the country. Can he enlighten us as to some of them??

And if someone makes a mistake, is it wrong for him to make efforts to correcting them

Between Umeh and that guy at the top, I don't even know who's better.

That useless party defeated your 'useful' party.
While OBJ's allegations may be true, i think its a pure case of kettle calling pot black. I'm damn sure OBJ would'nt have made these allegations if GEJ had allowed him dictate to him. Like many other politicians(GEJ included), OBJ is only doing this for selfish reasons

Obansanjo with his type of letter is very irritating at the age of (76) in which he stands to write such a letter to a junior brother. It sounds very sympathetic that some statesmen can rise up and fix up allegations to put a nation on fire and to tarnish an image of a fellow human being due to politics. OBJ would have sent GEJ this letter privately and give him the good advice instead of this kind of public embarassment which he planned up with his FULANI masters to bring into existence for the nation to be in disarray and uprising. Obasanjo suppose to face tyranny case by reference to his past administration or to face treason and felony by the tone of this his letter. This is an indirect coup plot.

This is as stupid as someone can get, why don't Umeh just go ahead and arrest Obj, Obj is no saint but there are a lot of serious and salient issues raised in that letter of his, let d presidency debunk the allegations raised instead of attacking the messanger, why throw away the baby with the bath water. Umeh is just seeking for crumbles from the table his ijaw master.
