The five month old ASUU nationwide strike has finally been called-off. According to information reaching us, this has also been reported by DailyPost], a Nigerian online newspaper and OsunDefender another Nigerian Newspaper website. It has also been broadcasted on Television Continental (TVC)

After a protracted debate, the Federal Government and ASUU reached a compromise during a negotiation brokered by the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar few days ago.

The Union arrived at the latest decision to suspends its strike after a marathon meeting held at the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, Niger State on Today, Monday 16th December, 2013.
