[color=#990000][/color]THE PORT HARCOURT CARNIVAL bears a certain uniqueness as it combines two carnivals- A PURELY CULTURAL CARNIVAL(In which contingents of the 23 LGAs engage a procession through the streets of Port Harcourt-showcasing enthralling dances andmasquerade displays) and a CONTEMPERARY CARRIBEAN STYLE CARNIVAL. This gives it an edge IN TERMS OF CULTURE over all other regional carnivals(Cultural carnival only).. Calabar carnival still the best though.. Here are photos I took on Friday(cultural carnival) and Saturday(international float).. Enjoy |
