I just got a uk used samsung galaxy S2 and i notice the display does not rotate, i have checked the box on rotate display and its still not working.i would appreciate any usefull info to resolve this prob. Thank you for you response

Download and flash a new custom or stock ROM. Follow this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1131501/samsung-galaxy-s2-s3-s4/42 Check previous pages particularly 15-17 (not sure) 4 link to download original JB stock ROM by Samsung for UK version SGS2, GT-19100 or ask OP for help.

deejay_harry1: upgrade you rom to 4.1.2 jelly bean, which is the latest most stable.. then see if it does work... if it doesnt, root your phone, flash in cwm, make sure you make a nandroid backup,, then flash in xposed installer, get the gravity box module, enable it from the xposed installer, now open the gravity box, click on display, and set all 4 way rotation..

Like someone mentioned, the native Touchwiz launcher does not auto-rotate. My advice, go into Google Playstore, download either Nova Launcher or Go Launcher. Set as default launcher and see if it auto-rotates.

If it doesn't then we can go further and put you through/give you links on flashing a custom ROM.
