Yes esther check the last paragraphs of my second to the last post its there,where I said "at the center of the waist go down by 1inch and cut out for the shape required at the tommy part.the seam allowance on the waist can be half inch"

And yes while you joining the back after fixing your zip you will also leave space for your back slit .

The narrower you make the under the more shape and pencil like your skirt will be

not at all.its for the stomach area near the darts in order to avoide the fold or bulge that may occour there.

Tnx Efosa ,&as per d adv peeps,wld suggest we all follow same sewing so no 1 will miss anythng,cos beginners cn also learn,some beginers r fast in learnin,sewin is all abt patient,so we all(beginner,intermedi8&expert)shld follow d same chosen style,rada dan expert sewin a different skirt cos by d tym dey strt postin pix,some new entrant myt b confused.I hope my sugesn wil b considered.tnk u

Yes Larex321 I like what I see, well done dear,only I would have loved to see the process.so on our next project try to post fabric, or cutting process so others can learn or help u improve.nice touch with the bow at the back thou.

Here is mine,I made a mini version of my skirt just to show you how patterns are made with a persons exact measurement on paper before placing it on the actual fabric.its only at this point that you add seam alowance.

For those who don't know how to fix zips yet,first join the two back pice together in the middle then flat open the seam and place ur zip in the middle. See pictures for more details
