The bible is a collection of texts written by many authors, both known and unknown, collected collated and compiled over time into what it is now and believed by many christians to be divinely inspired by God himself.
I as a pentecostal christian, have been reading (and studying) the bible for decades now and I've never seen any one piece of literature so inspiring and knowlegeable, yet so confusing, contradicting and incongruent with so many pagan associations.
The bible is so confusing that not only different faiths have evoled from it, but also that even amongst a particular faith, there are still diverse interpretations of the same bible by different denominations and even amongst different pastors in the same church.
Some statements in the bible are so contradicting that you can literally see a verse say the opposite or narrate a different account of the same story on another verse. Even from genesis, the creation of the earth has two different accounts!
Most laws, actions and principles in the bible are incongruent with what it preaches and are illogical. For eg. They saw God loves the world yet he slaughters innocent children in their hundreds for sins commited by their fathers which they know nothing about. Some of the laws are so illogical that I strongly believe that if man were to be judged by all the commandments in the bible, not even one person will make heaven. I won't even talk about the seemingly ludicrous laws in the old testament (which many christians will say have been striken out, but funny enough they still quote many of the laws in It), but even in the new testament that paul forbade women to speak in the church, how many churches obey that??!(1 cor 14:34)
Lastly but not the least, there is no literature text that is so much riddled with paganic associtions and symbolisms like the bible. It has so many similariies with paganism ranging from the virgin birth, the sun god and the twelve followers which all existed before jesus and even to its compilation which was by a pagan king.

Now the bible said God is not an author of confusion yet how can his same acclaimed words be the source of so many 'confusions' in the world today. I'm not saying is not a good book, but I think its mainly acts just as a guide toward christian living and not the total word of God by which all would be judged with, for if it were to be, it would make God look stupid, foolish, unjust and hypocritic!
Nb: This is just my opinion!
