Few industries more as quickly as the tech world, and with so many updates, rereleases and “new and improved” features being added to your favorite products, apps, websites and software, keeping up can be a huge task.

There were plenty of significant tech stories to follow in 2013, and we’ve rounded out the news and innovations that kept the tech crowd on their toes.

IOS 7: Apple’s latest operating system worked out a few kinks left over from the previous version to create a more enjoyable, maneuverable layout.

Gold iPhone: For the first time, iPhone owners had a rainbow of hues to choose from with the release of the iPhone 5s, including a gold option that sent
fans into a frenzy. The glittering phone sold out in record time and is still a hot item.

Instagram Video: Vine had a nice run as the champ of the social media video clips until
Instagram’s video feature entered the ring. At 15 seconds, Instagram’s videos were twice as long as Vine’s, and could be layered with Instagram’s filter
options.

Twitter Goes Public: If you love Twitter so much, why not buy it? Well a lot of people did when the social media titan become a publicly traded company in November.

Yahoo Buys Tumblr: Yahoo is on a mission to stay more current than ever before, which they proved by shelling out more than $1 billion for blog-based social network Tumblr in May.

Uber: The driver service app really took off in 2013, putting low cost, snazzy transportation (lower than most taxis anyway) in the palm of your hands.

Google Glass: Consumers won’t be able to get their hands on Google Glass until later in 2014, but it seemed like the digital eyewear was just about everywhere in the tech world.
What technology moment do you think defined 2013?

The "TECH" world is much more than just a single mobile ecosystem, some Social platform and a simple wearable computer.

1. The Launch of Tecno N3 an affordable and credible alternative Android SmartDevice for Smart phone users, students, Tech enthusiasts, middle and low income earners, etc. It upstaged the insanely expensive recognised Korean and American brands within the Nigerian Smart Devices market. It could play HD games, came with support for dual sim - Dual standby, WIFI Hotspot and HSPDA+ in the long lists of features.

This Tecno Android phome, the N3 brought along with it a string of other launches like the Phantom A Series, M, N, D and L series. The Nigerian Smart Devices market will never remain the same again with Tecno currently spreading like wild fires into Corporate Organisations, educational and government owned institutions etc giving everybody the choice of Android Smart Device to buy at varying price points and the most recognised after service care centres spread across the nation.

2. The Death of BlackBerry and Launch of BBM. Now in the red and write off backlog of devices for fire sales, RIM aka BB is already awaiting the final throes of death and the transformation into a Services company any moment from now. It flagship product, the Blackberry Messaging platform is now available on the Android and iOS platforms with WinPhone to follow suit.

3. The Sale of Nokia Devices to MSFT.
4. The launch of Jolla Sailfish Operating System.
5. The launch of Indian Space mission to Mars.
6. The Introduction of the LIKE feature to NL.
7. Da Launch of Nokia Lumia 1020 41 MegaPix Camera Smartphone and the introduction of two windows phone phablets
8. The Launch of Chinese mission to the Moon.
9. The Rise of WinPhone as the Third Ecosystem.

and

10. The increase in MORE CREDIBLE Phone and Computer Dealers on NL. Never Believed that NL had such people of Integrity, Good Character and Honest in their Dealings. Nigeria is GOOD after all. Mikky Angel, Phemmy, Specuit AIr, Zignor, ElijahDreh, Opebisgood etc Nigerian and NL is STILL full of Nigerians with Honest Dealings and Trustworthy Character.
