Sir, if u are into phones very well, u will know that phones from U.S and U.K usually have better specs and build quality than what they sell as originals in Nigeria. So many people are ignorant of this but that's the reality. People who know this truth will usually opt for a U.S/U.K used than get the original from Nigeria.

boban 007: I bought a brand new htc one x from affordables computer village ikeja in 2012.it was around 100,000.with 3months warranty.after 3weeks the screen went blank.i took it back and it was one story or the other.i was very angry and showed them my receipt only for them to tell me htc does not give them warranty.when I started shouting they took the phone from me and asked me to come back in 3 days time.after which they told me they intend sending to uk to fix,but they cant take one phone to uk except they get few more damaged ones.i asked for a replacement but was told not possible.i was angry and frustrated.i eventually took it to London myself after another 4months and replaced the screen for 80 pounds.can u imagine the pain.

If they display something different from what customers receive in sealed packets, then it's a crime.

Yes that's true. The internals are sometimes different and the build quality is different from what they bring to Nigeria. I know how hard it may be to understand this but that's the truth. New phones in America isn't always the same with new phones in Nigeria.

YEP that's 100% true. I fall for it recently but i was so Very Lucky to get my Cash Back....
I found a guy on OLX South Africa as i stays there, so we make a deal and he said to me his gonna sell it for R3000 which is (N46000). So we meet up in Park Station, get to the nearest ATM and draw the cash then pay the guy. So as we departed after 1 min, i realize OK now i got to cut my Sim to the size of the phone in other to fit, so i try calling him back, so that we can go do it together but the guy never pick up so i left alone to some shops, where they sell phones just to cut my Sim, then ask the guy to check the phone i bought if its an original phone and to my surprise, the guy reply and say no... this is a "Chinese Phone" and i was like WHATTTTT.... then he brought out one of his and ask me to check and compare... GUY the different is clear.

OK now the guy who sold me the phone doesn't wanna pick my calls anymore and now am kinda stranded cause no way forward.... Cant take a Chinese phone home that i bought so much cause it look so embarrassing.

Here is what i did, i ask my two friends to meet up, gist 'em my stories and ask to work on it.... (1) Mail him and say you wanna buy some Samsung Galaxy S4. (2) Call him up and say you want some phones, and they both did. They make arrangement and meet up after 3 hours but in a different suburb call Carlton Center in Johannesburg. I was there cause we actually left with 2 different cars, so on getting there, i decide i'maa just wait inside my car and after you too get the guy then you can holla at me. They both did as i have instruct and they find the guy with the same story he told me when selling the phone and some fake receipt he gave to me. Saying his mum was sick and he is from Kenya and also a student here in S.A.

Then that's how we caught him again and then take him from there to a place call Hillbrow where he call for my cash instantly.

So that's how lucky i am for not loosing my CASH R3k / N46K.

Abeg stop calling the phone fake, you obviously don't know anything about the phone you went to buy, there's up to five different S4 variants probably more and they all have the same design, the only real noticeable difference on the body would be size.
My point is you probably bought one of the variants mistaking it for the original.

KNOW THE PHONE YOU WANT TO BUY BEFORE EVER GOING TO THE MARKET.

am sorry about the fool word!!! I don't have the S4 anymore, its my friends i guess he has returned it back. Later i'll post photos of the os if i can get a hold of it again. Sincerely i can't tell the fake from the original, but i knew there was something fishy about the fake version with the screen quality and the camera quality, but i tell you bro the os is the same as the original, i went to samsung office at ikeja shopping mall, the lady was shocked, she typed the imei no on her computer before she could know its the fake version

Do you now see y i asked for fotos? If you claim that it is difficult to differenciate btw the real and fake, then posting fotos on here will help others here.

Original samsung galaxy S4 retails for about 600 euro (over 120,000 naira). How many folks can afford it?. There's a huge market for fake products, it's not about greed.
