Granted, OBJ is a seriously messed up old man, but how can a common overfed oil vandal be trying to trade words with naija's 2time most powerful person?... * unfollows this thread*..

This just arant nonsense and a means to seek cheap publicity.. as much as i am not for or against OBJs letter, it held me spell bound from begining to end even if it were 18 pages i read every single letter on every single page and looking forward to more, even if it were a hundred pages, i would have read it to the end, but this dokubo's letter is filled with jagons, not intresting to read, just blabing bullshit and jargon.. if you recal,.. i came to aso rock, i am the this of that.. what the Bleep? who gives a danm.. this letter is to shallow and lack s substance and has shown how and why an ijaw man should never rule this country.. forgive me, but asari sounds so unintelligent and just further shooting himself on the leg.. this is arant nonsense.. ranting cock and bull.. at a point i had to stop reading cos reading wasnt making ay sense to me no more, a letter of this magnitude should catch attention from begining to end like obasanjo's own did..

ok, compare and contrast a letter written by a yoruba man and an ijaw mans letter and tell me who should rule this country..

obasanjo ha issues with gbenga daniels but nevr resulted to policemen floking the streets of abeokuta like police men had to flock the streets of rivers state because gej has issues with rotimi amechi.. charity they say begins at home.. if rivers state is not at peace and that is the region where the president hails from, how then can the president manage nigeria as a whole if he can manage issues in rivers state..
asari dokubo is just adding salt to GEJ's injury.. these people are so daft mehn!..

i rest my case sha

If you think that a letter by Asari Dokubo is by any means, a parameter to measure the IQ of the Ijaws and that of OBJ, the Yorubas, then you must be joking. If an Ijaw man, ibibio man, tiv man or anybody from any tribe for that matter can't rule naija, you must be one of those people who think that you and your tribe are better than others.

Truth is, every tribe has fools as well as great and wise men. No region has any form of monopoly of knowledge or stupidity.
Why are u praising your tribe while ridiculing the Ijaws?
Stop this kind of post that reduce and mock others.

We either live together as one and equal, or let those who think they are better , leave the "stupid ones" to wallow in their "stupidity".

What has the Niger Delta gained from the Federal Republic of Nigeria all these years? Nothing! What has any other region gained? Same answer, nothing.

When our leaders loot our destiny, they share it with their cronies. When they share, tribe doesn't matter. Cliques do.

OBJ was reckless with that letter. He's an elder statesman and should have treated the seat of the c-in-c with more respect and dignity, having been there twice. The people that sat on a seat before, would go a long way to determine how revered it would be in the future. If those before presido Jona were as great as they want us to believe, that seat would still be great today, no matter who sits there.

Unfortunately, in the voice of the great Fela, it is still "soja go, soja come."

I hardly listen to Asari but had to read this and I must say this is very revealing. My take is not the issues he raised against the personality of OBJ's but the fact that we need to once and for all, discuss this "nation's" existence. I can't wait to see the outcome of the NC. I wish it can become a SNC!

Kponkwem: Good post. He made it pungent that if the Ijaw cannot rule Nigeria, then they will form their own country and rule themselves in the universal principle of self determination. Same for the Igbos. So I wonder why some persons keep arguing whether Igbo will ever rule Nigeria. What do the Igbo need such fraudulent contraption for? Let every nation form their own entities and alliances, be no slave to none!

Edi Abali you've spoken well.

Lordlexyy: Never take it to heart what any corrupt, selfcentred, self imposed leader said. Nigeria isn't a creation of any British govt, but was divinely positioned orchestrated by the British govt as a regional and world power. Remember that every good conception attracts its challenges, that is the phase we are passing through. Very soon, all these noise makers and their selfish clannishness fade away, and the all powerful, productive, prosperious Nigeria will emerge. But it calls for prayer and being positive towards the country.

How right u are to say any action demands a reaction but then don´t 4get Nigerians seem too slow to act cos they should have acted during the intial tenure of OBJ as head of state. They should have acted when IBB and Abachia were looting the treasury. They should have acted when June 12 was annulled. After all how many citizens can they kill? They should have acted when OBJ was imposed on the masses, they should have acted when PDP imposed the Yaraudua/GEJ. No matter how much GEJ is hated he is still the best president Nigeria has so far had and we have our history books to refer back to, if u don´t believe that but still he came in as an opportunist when the country badly needed to move forward. That say, we also know no polliticians ever has the people in mind, we also know they all have only their selfish interest at heart but then the fact remain the facts and they are: When truth is told it smells rather very bad, when truth is told it makes holier than holy people´s xteracters get destroyed, when truth is told men and women of good faith listen and learrn cos the sins of today can hurt u tomorrow. Nigeria is at that point where sins of yesterday are still hurting us and we still don´t know how best to tackle them. The fear of many men of good will is that the Tsunami that may wash over Nigeria, if and when it happens may take a lot more lives than it was worth 2 fight 4, especially if the wrong people like OBJ and their cronies are put again in power.

Asari the Edi Abali I doff my hat for you.The clock is ticking gradually to dooms day but Nigerian Leaders and many on this forum don't seem to realise this.Ethnic jigoists masquerading as avowed nationalists will continue to insult our sensibilities thereby hardening the feelings of freedom fighters who are waiting to be called up for action.
Nigeria must be restructured or it is separation. The time of one particular group lording it over others is over for ever.
I see a lot happening in the next six months in Nigeria that will kick start the irreversible direction Nigeria is heading.Edi Abali tnz.

Greatfuture: for all of you calling for war,you dont know anything maybe you think its a movie you watch.I pray for peace. When the war starts all this letter writers will flee the country.
so you mean there is peace in this country as it stands now, what is your definition of peace? Maybe enthnic bigotry, religious war, deprivision, segregation, impoverishment, coruption, crave for power.
After I read Dokubo's letter,I had a change of mind,GEJ 2015 and after his rule,we south-south will move for our own independent state.our oil have enriched some fools who hail from god-forsaken land with no resources while a chunk population from the oil area are wallowing in penury.
It is time we control what belongs to us and make life better for the lot of an average niger-delta man.
If the yorubas and hausa want a one nigeria, they should shove away craziness for power and embrace true federalism.
If not the likes of Odetola, obj and some northern fools etc will lose hold of the oil wealth when this country divide.

Dis is indeed a vry rude letter frm Asari. I honestly wonder wot prompted him to write such a disrespectfl letter. & tho i aint a fan of OBJ, still, i realli dont think he deserves to be addressd in such manner. Haba Asari..
So, do you still have any one inch and half second repect for Obasanjo? Even if he is from your family, are you happy that Obasanjo is still the way he is? In fact, have you listed his immoral and evil deeds altogether, including sleeping with his step daughter? Are you a normal person? Do you know this man call Obasanjo is the only individual that gains the favour of God and decided to Bleep himself as a nonentity?
Brother, look, am a yoruba man but not from Obosanjo's village. Do you know that if obasanjo was to be a reasonable persons, this country will have been far better than it is now? The loss percentage you are suffering from today is a contribution by this useless old thing? Silly you.
Do not ever sing any song of praise of the thing call Obasanjo

If you know you living in a glass house pls do not trow stone cos of the ovious reason, what prompted edi abali to write this letter to nigerians and APC is cos of obasanjo and his born to rule ppl.

Fellow nigerians and biafrans have you ask your self why only two tribes must be the rulers of this country called nigeria, while are all the core members of pdp are leaving pdp only just to unsit a christian and a person frm mainority.

To me i dont expect any different frm APC to Pdp rather things will be worst looting will be in trillions, why must a northern person be the first presiident of the so called APC? Not rochas or rotimi or some one else

this ppl does not meant well for other part of the country therefore will not go far in 2015 election and as they will loose the election may all haill broke that will quicken the establishment of the will of God in nigeria. If you agree with me say a loud Amen.

Consequences of the dearth of purposeful leadership and good governance in our motherland....since the inception of natuionhood at independence till date......Our Leaders have all hiddenly being reverred ethno~centrist in the ideals, whilst they openly profess lip~service tolerance for others not from their own ethnic nationality......as the continuously rolled out acts of mis~governance in the polity.......All they've bequethed is the professed hatred and distrust....We need to overcome these.

Bar. Keyamo, I can read your handwriting very clearly. What is evidently obvious to me is that; the reasons for starting 'this war' will be less cogent than what will be needed for peace to return.
Once upon a time; Gadhafi, Saddam, and many others like them all thought that there would be no end to their imprudence. Only time will tell in what way will be the consequence of this our self-induced psychosis.

I completely agree. Funny enof 6 months ago I never imagined it could ever be possible but am slowly seeing smokes everywhere and we all know fire follows smokes. What troubles men of good will is the casaulities of such an event when it finally happens. We all know non of our presne politicians would be in the country when it explodes into flames so who and what would u be fighting for? That is what every person has to ask himself b4 he signs into what he would regret. U should also ask urself who and which groups come on top after, how long it will last and where the most casualitis would come from. I say this cos Igbo have already lost 1 million sons and daughters about 25 years ago in a useless and senseless war so am sure they won´t have a stomach for a repeat unless it will liberate our region from this present fallacy of a country called Nigeria.

I think it will be better manage when the country divide, then each tribe can form states for better gorvernance and such government will be in close par with the citizen in contrast to what we have now
