I'm using E71 and N9 Pad.
I bought the Pad to completely take over from the Nokia but I found myself running back to it once in a while.
Reasons :
I could use free 15mb from Airtel or MTN for a week, multitasking between browsing (opera mini), chat (WhatsApp, 2go/facebook gateway), emails (my 6 email accounts are sync real-time so I don't miss a mail), open pdf and edit word documents, connect to company wifi, Nokia maps (which can be use offline without consuming mb unlike google maps on Android), wifi hotspot with Joiku, great audio, and most importantly long battery life even on 3g network.

True, my N9 can do all those except that I need to be recharging my battery more often and also subscribe to at least 1gig to enjoy what Nokia gave me on free 15mb per week.
And I still need my Nokia maps to navigate free.

kevoh: The Tecno crase is a phase, it will pass and fade into oblivion especially when this present Tecno generation start earning better income and can actually afford to spend 70k to 100k on a phone, it will happen don't say never! By then the quality phones,the BB10s,the Samsungs, the HTCs and Nokia will be either sold at second hand price or handed over to younger siblings to use.

I'm not of talking of salary ooo, do you know some people earn double their salary monthly based on commission and some other stuffs they do plus their salary of 100 to 150k? Meaning they can spare a 100 to 150 grand for flexing per month without touching their salary. If you were one of those, a 120k phone is nothing.

It can.If that is what you want in a phone then the E71 is probably best for you.Nokia are the best phones for office work(Ms word,adobe etc)

All I mentioned was what E71 does for me.
You can open pdf with Adobe reader and open and edit word, excel and PowerPoint with Quickoffice. Download power mp3 for better music playing from folder, get X plorer for better file management

Can a symbian phone run an app of 1.5GB size? I guess no, so stop comparing android's mutitasking to that of symbian. Android OS is RAM and CPU hungry! That's why even the tecno droids people look down on feature at least about 800MHZ of processing power.

Check my first post on this thread.I don't have any beef with any Techno user just saying not every one using Techno today or any cheap low end device for that matter will remain using cheap phones. Their lives would have changed in few years to come same with their buying power (income earned) some would have new and better jobs, promotions, business boom except you have the belief that Man must remain in the same poor level for years to come. E.g I know a carpenter who was able to buy a car just after 3 to 4 years same with the barber in front of my house. Is that not levels don change?

I know what you are getting at.Your perception of people using a low budget phone is that there are all poor. That is a false perception. What will you say of a person earning millions but is still using a java phone(Someone very close to me is in this category).Electronic gadgets especially phones should be purchased base on your personal needs not because of your earnings.The more you earn doesn't mean the more expensive things you most buy.

Bro, you are wrong about my perception. I have a cousin who earns more than me but still uses Techno. Does that make him poorer?
My stance on this is derived from the fact that most Techno users tend to rub it on the face of other mobile phone users that they got a cheap lower quality android phone that can perform almost the same basic function as their expensive quality android phone and have wasted money in buying such expensive phones hence the need for starting unnecessary threads like this. Go back and read the original post on the first page.

this was your initial post, and your subsequent posts buttress your points.. You think only low income earners buy tecno, but like the others have said, it is all about preference. Same way we still have many high income earners buy 10k phones, not so expensive cars.. Etc.. One should not live according to the society but according to one's principles. If a 500,000n income earner does not believe in spending so much on a phone(or gadget),so be it..he should not be judged.

its all about class. tecno offers same or better functions compared to nokia, htc or bb fones at lower price. i wont say it is a fone for the masses but for the shrewd buyers.

Im a gadget fan ever since I was small up to now but let me know that I dont want to own the best smartphone money can buy. Even if I was earning a million dollars monthly. I want to the own the smartphone that will give me the highest cost benefit ratio. The benefit is set by me. I know what I want to use the phone for. The fone that is reliable and provides all those benefits is my choice phone.

There is nothing special about streaming music free off the internet. There is spotify, pandora, tunein etc now besides, I have been streaming music since the days of using my bold 2.

And yes, lumia is crap. For an exercise, trying sending two attachments (any document besides pictures) to any email of your choice. Duh!! It isnt possible. And so many other lumia limitations.
