Was in Aguleri yesterday as part of delegation that went to send New Year wishes to the governor-in waiting Dr. Willy Obiano. I was stormed with myriads of masquerades that took over the entire town. Aguleri Town has been turned into a Mecca of a sort as people are trooping into the town to have a glimpse of the governor in-waiting Willy Obiano. The ongoing festival has added color to the entire town as visitors are entertained and Beer Parlor shops are making fast money as people are drinking, eating 'nkwobi', nkwo-nkwo, isi ewu pepper soup etc.. |

I was hoping to see the big scaring masquerades - Ijele, Okpoma, Ogbangbada, etc . These are kids masquerades,which looks more like the ones in Rivers state. When did Igbo masquerades start displaying bare feet to women and uninitiated people? Perikomo is certainly not amused! 3 Likes |

What are the pastors in your village doing about this? They suppose to have casted these evil masquerades away by now. Can't you showcase a church programme that took place in your area rather than these nauseating pictures? Donate a parcel of land to my church,we've got to sanitise your land before its too late.
