Dada Hair: Good Or Bad? by Nobody: 7:00am On Jan 07, 2014
Hello guys, dreadlocks which is commonly known as Dada in Nigeria, is the issue to discuss here.
Some people are born naturally with dreadlocks while some others do theirs artificially. My question is, why is it that some people see this dreadlocks as a bad omen. Some people especially children who has this dreadlocks are discriminated one way or the other.
If you ask some, they will say that it is evil spirit that brings about it. While some other says that it's a special blessing from God to have it. The rastafarians so much love it. They have this believe that it's only Prophets of God that are destined to have it. They will go on to tell you that Moses, Elijah and all the Bible and Koran prophets had it.

Some say that if you cut off dreadlocks without the consent of the one that has it, that there will be problem, the kind of problem I still do not know.

To cut long story short, I am confused on what to believe. We have a child here with 'Dada ' he is still young but we want to cut his hair. I need genuine advice My people. Should we go on or should we allow the child to grow with it?

If you have any experience on Dada related case, fell free to share it here.

Thanks.
