I got the PES2009 from gamestation.co.uk; Is trhere another version cause the one i gat is the champions league

Meanwhile the graphics is improved from 2008.

You know I played the fifa09 and WTF!!! The graphics and play, enormously awesome. If not for the buttons I am used to I will switch to Fifa.

We refuse to admit to ourselves that we're so hooked on PES that we forget the fact that the Pro Evo Series is now markedly inferior to Fifa and in fact are heading towards crapware.

Pes09 is crap. I just dont understand konami. Those same old errors that's so annoying. Some passes and through passes you cant just run unto until the opposing team touches it first. Why cant they just allow players to move where they want to. Its been there since winning 11 on ps 1. Haven't play fifa09 yet. Hope they corrected the way players turn on speed like it is on pes. I think football games are at the lowest point. Both companies should just combine and give us a game thats worth it.

On the PS3, I'd say konami dropped a notch. the menu pop is embarrassing

PES is a nice game but it lacks real features seen in FIFA. Have not played FIFA09 but FIFA 08 rocked because you have the ability to make your men make a run at anytime

I cannot believe people are still comparing Konami to EA sports these days.
Jeeez. . . . .I used to think Nigerians adapt quickly to changes but it seems many are so hooked to PES and they cannot see beyond it.
PES stopped improving since they made the crappy Pro Evo 6. . . .That was the worst game ever.
It was the same year FIFA decided to move up another notch and they released FIFA07(the groundbreaking football game) and they haven't looked back since then. Konami's menu bad look so crappy, it could have been made by Zeb Ejiro's computer graphics man.

FIFA 09 is the best football game ever made. . . . . . .It is 4000 times better than any Konami game(which includes the priceless PES 5).
Everything from graphics to licensing, the game play, AI and the online servers.
Konami still has the lagging problems when playing with peops online. The game drags like a scratched Naija VCD.
PES 2009 is so watery, i gave it away after playing it for 30 mins. On FIFA 09, a player's size and weight is taken into consideration.
Rooney would easily bully Wright Phillips or Robinho off the ball in a 50-50 but Rooney would be bullied by Gallas or Terry.
The AI is so outstanding it feels like watching a Premiership game on SKYSPORTS(with Andy Gray n Martin Tyler as commentators).

FIFA is miles ahead of Konami and it's sad.

Now, the PES has still not got rid of some vital issues during the play.

- You make a through pass to a player that isnt off and it automatically goes to the one that is off and the flag goes up

- You pass to your player and you just cant get to make the player increase speed of pursuit when u notice he just might not get to the ball b4 d opponent

- The ball is within the 18 box and all of a sudden there is a slower motion and since this isnt what speed u are used to, the opponent beats u at it. (this isnt evident on the PS3 but still on the PSP.

the last one is the most annoying

Make una continue dey talk rubbish like novice salesmen for Konami or EA. Both games, have always had and still, have their bugs and shortcomings. Pick the one you can tolerate. Instead of the elistist garbage about which one is crap and which one isn't.

Players still have the turning troubles in FIFA. PES's online/sound still suxx. blah blah blah, Pick your poison.

Also, some of you have not read the manual that comes with your game but complain about player response.

So you that have read the manual, tell us what it says abt response to the 'freeze' during play when there are a lot of players at the 18yrd box or just run along instead of posting what isnt assisting either

@simtay are u surprised? LOL! that is what pes lacks commentry thats one area Fifa surpases pes. U urself imagine, ur favourite club is playing live and u watcing the match without commentators or commentry of cause the match will look boring. Look at fifa the game play and commentry is cool it keeps the gamer asking for action and makes the game fun playing in terms of graphics yea pes thumbs up but they need to work on commentry. Thats why I play fifa often cuz of commentry it makes my room come alive at times my next door friend ask if its a real match or tv game bcuz of the game commentry. Although I ve both games even on my psp.

Something's not right. there is commentary. Even though it gets monotonous and annoying very fast.
There are even other language commentaries, which I usually switch to. Check your sound settings thoroughly.

KONAMI'S pro evolution soccer is still the higest selling soccer and most played soccer.
only dumb people like Americans play FIFA. EA has never done anything matured. though they are the largest third party developer.
in Europe and Japan it's PES/KONAMI.

when i said the largest, i mean they produce games anyhow, i.e numerous games that lacks quality.
i can not call any game  that  EA has produced/published that can match
Ubisoft's Splinter cell series
Konami's Metal Gear Series
Sony's polyphonic Digital Gran Torismo Series or
Take Two Grand theft auto series.
all i can see in EA is trash.

The only EA game I ve enjoyed so far is Def Jam Fight For New york and Need For Speed:Most wanted thats all the rest are history.

I have no idea where you and infoseye got ur game from. Mine has full commentary from start to finish. You prolly have the settings all jumbled against that.

Dont mind what infoseye says; he got his from alaba so we can understand when it's got no commentary
