what kinda FTP Client do you use huh?
Re: Upload File To Host Using Ftp Client by Afam(m): 11:52am On Jul 11, 2006
Maybe the time you upload to the server is when the server is unavaillable or you may have entered the necessary credentials wrongly.

If your username and passwords are correct then the chief culprit in this type of issue is the ftp address, it is a common mistake for one to enter the ftp address as www.somedomainname.com instead of ftp.somedomainname.com

Basically all FTP clients I have seen don't have design issues as they are all based on a very mature an open protocol.

Hope this helps.

i'm not sure its the FTP client software you used cos you said you uploaded successfully, right? i'm sure you uploaded into the WRONG directory and that's why its not showing!!! You should upload into the "public_html" or "www" folder! well, this folder's name varies from host to host, but your host should tell you which is your ROOT folder! if you upload your files into the ROOT folder, then everything should work just fine!

While uploading will i choose the directory to upload or it will upload itself to the public directory ?

If i will choose the directory to upload then how will i do that ?

Thanks
