Lola Ogunnike is unattractive to me because she's a fake Yoruba female(doesnt even know how to pronounce her own name) plus she looks older than her age in person

Have you seen her in person before? I do not see the reason for this comment because her inability to pronounce her name well does not mean she's not pretty besides you do not know whether she grew up largely in America and how conversant her parents made the yoruba language to her. Again, even some broadcasters in Nigeria do 'phoneticize' their names for some reason. Abeg she is preety jare.
Re: Beautiful Faces Of Africa by KarmaMod(f): 6:13am On Sep 27, 2008
Actually I HAVE seen/spoken to her in person. Twice. Once for the NEAs and another Naija function in NY and I believe she looks older than her age in person, perhaps its the foundation used. Is that ok with you?

and who cares how long someone has lived in the states? I've lived here longer than I have in Nigeria and learned Yoruba when I went to Nigeria for secondary school and HAD to for the sake of my grandmother and I could still pronounce my name correctly, even before I went there. So stop making lame excuses for the woman.

It's one thing to twist your name around when you are around "oyinbos" but to do so when you are among fellow Nigerians? That's pathetic.

also are you blind that you had to use larger font and bold for my comment?

Everybody is not the same. may be she didn't have the same opportunity you had. It still does not make her any less pretty.

Because she's used to that. You may find yourself in that same dilemma if you took to her profession.

also are you blind that you had to use larger font and bold for my comment?

Because it ticked me on why you should attack her in such distasteful manner. For God's sake, she could be reading this.
Re: Beautiful Faces Of Africa by KarmaMod(f): 6:26am On Sep 27, 2008
Lmao and what do I care if she's reading this? the people you have bashed n ko "in distasteful manners"? Lets not start the hypocrisy tonight, Funmi

and again, the lame excuses are boring me. Anyone with a Naija name ashamed to stand up as one is unattractive to me. Notice I didnt use the word "ugly" as I don't think she is so I suggest you calm yourself down.

I've met Oluchi a couple of times and the way she is when she's with her fellow Naijas compared to how she is at VS shoots is vastly different. She knows how to switch it up and i respect that. She's also very brilliant and wellspoken. Now that's an attractive woman. cheesy
Re: Beautiful Faces Of Africa by KarmaMod(f): 6:28am On Sep 27, 2008
Sade Baderiwa who is also in the boardcasting sector who I sincerely doubt has been to Nigeria also pronounces her name correctly so I abeg jare.

Oluchi spent almost all her life in Naija and she came from a lower class family so, there is a tendency that she'll be more naija like than high profile Lola.
Re: Beautiful Faces Of Africa by KarmaMod(f): 12:33pm On Sep 27, 2008
lol highprofile. Baderinwa and Oluchi are both making more than her so madam "highprofile" should learn to pronounce her name correctly and stop playing herself

ogunnike is such an easy name to say too. she should just go the Seal and co route and just not claim Nigeria sef or "American unfortunate to have Nigerian parentage"  grin

Money does not always define social status. Lola is obviously mixing up with the high and mighty in America, those that Oluchi cannot fathom to meet in her life.

Are you kidding me? A pretty young model like Oluchi can meet any man she wants to meet, anytime.
Re: Beautiful Faces Of Africa by joshjosh(m): 3:05pm On Sep 27, 2008
you just nailed your equality rantings on its head with this. so some of your women are not equal too?
