i wouldn't say i would marry or date anyone who was physically challenged. But beauty is only skin deep and so i would not say that anyone physically challenged is out of my range. If i happen to be crazy about such person then i would go for it. Half the time those who CAN hear don't actually listen and thoses who can see don't often do a good job with their sight. It all depends on the individual. |

I see the person, not always the outside(i dont mean to sound corny) i find that i have always been attracted to a guy's personality(funny,brilliant,goofy and unhibited) So who knows , i'd like to think the disability wont put me off if i love him. |

even if they were not handicaped physically, they coult be hadicaped MENTALLY and otherwise!!!! i've seen people with so terrible attitudes that a BLINK, DEAF and DUMB person would even be better!!! love matters a lot, but if the blind person or whoever had a good personality, s beautiful soul, then its possible with love too! |

mamaput: well, i still do. i think crippled is apt as opposed to handicapped. i'm also of the school of thought that believes some words must not join the bandwagon of "political correctness". we shouldn't, for instance, say people are "vertically challenged", because they're short; or "pigmentally challenged" because they are white  i mean, we stil say blind, deaf and dumb (not visually challenged et cetera) so why not crippled?Raymand: @raymand but really!  |

I dated one while we were in school together and had no regrets; except that we lost contact, so I don't know about her again. I found out the we are all thesame notwithstanding the challenges. |

I know can and will. Infact I am looking for such persons. I believe such people understand love a lot better. They know that u are not in it for their beauty but for real. I will also consider what sort of phsical challenge we are talking about. I should be able to talk to the person on a worse case scenario. |

Well good for those saying they can never! I say - never say never. You might marry an able bodied person today and as a result of an accident, they become disabled tomorrow. It is for better or for worse? will you leave him/her then? You just never know!! |

u never know, my sister. i read the one about a young couple on their honeymoon who went swimming. the husband standing by the poolside misjudged the depth of the pool from looking at his wife at the deep end, he dived into the shallow end and broke his neck. got disabled from neck down - quadruplegia. this was just days into their marriage. u never can tell. |

I would, and I am. I am supprised at the replies. Being deaf, blind or cripple can happen to anyone at any time. Lets just hope that it doesn't happen to you. These people are human too and they very much deserve to be loved. And yes it takes patience and it is a challenge. |

OK A twist to it. If you are going out or married to an healthy person and by some accident he/she became deformed e.g crippled, spinal cord injuries. or whatever. What would you do? Is it for better for worse? |

It depends on the nature of the Physical Challenge lol but she has got to be a damn beautiful woman but sincerely i wouldn't go around toasting one if it happens that while we where going out God forbid she gets to have one physical challenge or the other then i would stick with her although i am not praying for such sha |

Yeah it is while you have been with the person before the accident or whatsoeva but sometimes i think with the way i feel in love with someone that i could overlook it depending on what though. It is possible with love, I believe |
