Hello Fellow Nairalanders, I like this topic and I must tell you that its indeed a very good business am speaking from experience. Doing online store business is great but I must tell you that all am saying here I never meant Nigerian market though as I really had not thought about it but I am working on those for the US and the UK markets as that is where the real online shoppers are and indeed you can do it from Nigeria that is selling to the US and UK markets thanks to the power of the internet, however if anyone is thinking about the Nigerian market here then it actually worth giving a thought but all these has to be put in place 1. Regular supply to the store and prompt order processing and delivering and you gonna stock goods in a warehouse or you gonna act as a middleman to the stores. 2. Payment gateway I believe interswitch can actually handle this but security is an issue here as any little break into your database can cause havoc and can even send you to jail and we all know to what extent Nigerians can go to defraud. 3. The store do we really have those that are actually capable of designing the store here in this country with all the neccessary programming stuffs and constant updates at reasonable prices. 4. The buyers, where are the traffics to get to your sites at reasonable prices you have to get them there and be able to convince them that they stand a better chance of better quality, price and assurance if they buy from you than they go buy form GAME at lekki if you know what I mean. There are several others issues that one can put into considerations but I believe these are just some that can open your eyes and lead you in the direction of what you really wanna do. I like to work with progressive like minds, in fact this topic has gotten me thinking about something that could be great for the Nigerian and the african markets thus if you think we can work together why not contact me at wealthinweeks@gmail.com or text me on 08037151485 and we could actually come together to revolutionalise Nigeria I believe there is nothing impossible and when there is a will there will always be a way Contact me today we could be heading to the top together. God Bless Nigeria. |

starting an online business here will be a profitable business and i want to know something Nigerians are workaholic and most times they don't really have time to go shopping that's why you see that a lot of people go into banks to sell perfumes and other stuffs such as packet shirts to these people cus they they that they don't have time to go to the market and most times they dont really the actually price i want to assure u that if u have the right things in place a secured website and and payment policy will not like to go straight into details on how u can do dt for now with time e-business will be a strong thing in the Nigeria market so if u want real consultancy on that u can hook me up and i will be of assistance and if u have any knowledge about project management then u will understand me better project management is not all about construction of buildings but u can also say its construction of ideas into reality and been able to put the right team in place to achieve a common goal of delivering a project with time and within the budget and to quality all u need is a certified project manager hedgesfun: |

Yes, I have and I started one. It's fun its rewarding, and it's less stressful. I don't have to stock my own warehouse all I do is control my products through my back office. The cost is way way cheaper than investing in renting a building or other overhead you would have if doing it physically. But it still is hard work because you have to advertise to keep people coming to your site. There are many ways to do this the easiest is search engine traffic. Anyway, Good Luck to you if you start one. |
