Hello fellow Nairalanders. It came to my attention this afternoon that someone has been impersonating me and using my nairaland identity (Razorr) for unscrupulous businesses on this site. I would like to state categorically that I haven't visited this site or posted in it for over a month and a half and so any post by me recently wasn't me but the dumb-ass impersonator. I do not know who the idiot is, but I strongly suspect one of the moderators, as only someone like that could have retrieved my password, as I am very discreet about it. I have changed my password, and in the event that the person keeps posting with my ID, I would know for a fact that it's a stupid and immature moderator that's doing it and speak to Seun about the problem. He would probably have to delete my account. The following posts, among others, were definitely not from me, so please watch out! debosky: Come on Debosky, you're smarter than that! Whoever was impersonating me obviously knows me inside out! He/she obviously has a giant crush on me. I strongly suspect a moderator. Anyway, I have no serious qualms about it. It's for reasons like this and all the mudslinging that I am no longer crazy about this site, hence my not posting regularly these days. Razorr:Erm. . hello, moderators do not have any access to a poster's account. And by the way, you think moderators don't have enough in their plates already to be 'posting on your behalf.' I'm very much offended and kind-of begrudged at your statement, and I'm sure my fellow mods too would feel this way. I'm not saying you can't suspect anyone, just be careful of your 'labels'. The best way to solve this is to ask the Admin to fish out the IP address of the 'impersonator' and from there, you'll do whatever you have to do. I also want to say that, if at the end of it all, you find the culprit and it isn't a moderator, you owe us one. |
