*Does the two sim cave same capacity? coz in some phones Sim 1 may do 3g and Sim 2 will not

duality: I may buy this phone Just that I don't like cutting sim cards I discovered I have to cut my sim.

that is simple jus go and welcome ur sim back with a new sim all Mtn new sims now are having adapter cut such that with d sim card u can put it a mini slot or normal slot u don't need to cut it any more. they designed it in such a way that u can use ur sim as normal and mini sim any time u want any where u want Mtn are smart ooo

Gionee Revealed OTA RoadMap for Android 4.4.2 Kitkat Update


Gionee a popular India brand has now also updating their smartphones to android 4.4.2 KiTkat . MediaTek phones are now getting kitkat update as MediaTek has launched its drivers . Gionee Indian Mobile Company has now scheduled KitKat updates for its few phones .

Gionee will start updates from 6 June , 2014 and then the month will full of Updates here is a list of phones that will get update -

OTA V5 6th June

OTA S5.5. 12th June

OTA E7 mini 20th June

OTA P3/P4/M2 July

The update has been confirmed By Gionee

How To Flash Cwm Recovery On Gionee M2 - Guide
** Download and place the image file into internal storage.
** Rename the image file to "recovery.img". [Without quotes]
** Install MTK MobileUncle Tool from Play Store .
** Open MTK MobileUncle Tools
** And go to Recovery Updates option
** Select the image file to install and let it be installed automatically.
** It will reboot into recovery.
How To enter in Cwm recovery in Gionee M2
** There will be a option Present In Your shutdown Menu
** Or Alternatively you can Enter by Pressing Hardware Keys
** Press Volume Keys UP/DOWN and Power button simultaneously
** Let go once you reach a screen that shows 3 options, here choose recovery, it will then boot directly to CWM

You need to backup your stock rom first including all your games and apps before flashing a new rom.

well my experience with Gionee m2 was awesome.
The device comes with a better software than any other Gionee phone in the same category

the good side
-The video player is one super cool stuff (coming out of box with latest version of amigo video player) that comes with alot of cool features will watching a video and doing another task like texting .
-Camera is decent and outdoor usage of camera will produce very decent pictures(but indoor in a dark room camera performance will drop and I think flash will affect color of picture when u focus on objects at a very close range.
-Audio output is loud enough and with some good quality.
-Like I said earlier the software on m2 is very stable and runs very smooth to some extent. this device will run faster than Gionee e3 at many task and gaming.

the bad side

-Too bulky and heavy(though this must be as a result of the mega 4000ma+ battery).
- Low PPi/screen viewing angle is a bit poor.

final judgment
for a phone of 25k, the Gionee m2 is a good deal (if not the best deal).
