The world has about 7-8 years left before it is largely destroyed in the Day of the Lord. It is way too late to think about children. Most people alive now will never be 9 years older than right now when this time of trouble comes to a conclusion. If you get married, people will try to use your spouse or spouse's suffering or abduction to control you. If you have young child, the next 7-8 years will be the toughest on the little ones by far.

It is too late in this time before it all comes to a close to think about intimate attachments and, especially, having children.

@topic: I see nothing wrong with this lifestyle. God knows there are tons of people out there who shouldn't be having kids. If there are responsible people who can make a conscious decision not to bring a child into this world whom they can/will not properly care for and raise, then I respect that 100%.

I've held that view myself. It's not easy to find someone who holds that same view. Good for the first couple.

fellis: Africa is always the last continent to understand ridiculously simple concepts like this.
In Africa you dare not open your mouth to say you want to stay childless unless you are within a group of exposed and educated adults.
Too much of sheep mentality among them.
Of course not everyone will want to have kids, not everyone has the capacity to care for kids and train them properly. We are all different and have our strong and weak points as humans, where some excel is where some others fail. I mean look at our physical and genetic makeups as humans, every single persons' is different so why then do people find it weird when others express sentiments like this?
Why do they find it strange that not every single human being on earth is happily looking forward to having kids? Why?
Not everyone can sing,
Not everyone can paint,
Not everyone can solve maths,
Not everyone can even read(dyslexia), therefore it follows that not everyone will have the capacity to raise a child to be a well balanced and responsible individual.
I don't know why Africans still give people who choose not to have kids a bad time.

Personally I love kids and want some of my own but I think it's better we are more accepting of those people who are honest about their desire no stay childless. It's better to just let them be rather than forcing the warped idea that people must have kids to be normal on everyone and then constantly getting horrifying news about how a woman stabbed her baby twenty times with scissors or how a man continously raped_ his underage daughter until she spoke out.

Same thing goes for marriage.
Not for everyone.
