Abuja Declaration (1989) by Nobody: 2:06pm On Jul 03, 2014

Abuja Declaration is the outcome of a conference of the African countries of the OIC in 1989 and launched by a communiqué of the Islam in Africa Organisation (IAO) founded during this conference.

The Islam in Africa Organisation (IAO) is a Nigerian statuted Islamic organisation, an initiative of the Organisation of the
Islamic Conference (OIC). Dr. Usman Muhamad Bugaje is the current Secretary-General of the IAO.

Goals and strategies:
The organisation was founded on 28 November 1989 in Abuja , Nigeria, with the goal to win the whole of Africa
for Islam.
The statutes and goals are ratified in 1991 and this marks her formal definitive founding. The founding-communiqué is also called the Abuja Declaration .

Starting point for the conference is the fact that Africa is the only continent with an Islamic majority and therefore Africa should become completely Islamic.
The plan contains a lot of points that are also common for Christian missionary organisations as relief and economic progression.

A battle plan was composed to Islamise Africa with some less innocent points in that decision:

"To ensure only Muslims are elected to all political posts
of member nations".
"To eradicate in all its forms and ramifications all non-Muslim religions in member nations (such religions shall include Christianity, Ahmadiyya and other tribal modes of worship unacceptable to Muslim)." (the word Christianity is
underlined in the declaration)
"To ensure the ultimate replacement of all western forms
of legal and judicial systems with the sharia in all member
nations before then next "Islam in Africa conference."
"To ensure the appointment of only Muslims into
strategic national and international posts of member
nations."

The execution of this strategy can be recognised in
countries like Nigeria , Ethiopia and Sudan . In Nigeria more and more provinces choose for the Sharia leading to heavy protests of Christians, oft resulting in violence and bloodshed to both sides. In Sudan the government chose in 1983 for the Sharia, in 1991 sharpened with death punishment for apostasy from Islam.

Funds: The government of Nigeria has donated 21 billion US-dollar conform an IAO-communiqué as donation to this "Islamic Development Fund".
Organisation:[/b
The IAO consists of four main organisations: the General Shura', the highest authority consisting of 43 members from all over Africa and the Diaspora.
the Executive Comité.
[b] the Secretariat housed at Abuja, (Nigeria)./b]
the Necessary organs to the realisation of the goals.

[b] Countries:

The organisation mentions the following countries on its website:

Algeria
Benin
Chad
Egypt
Ethiopia
Eritrea
Kenya
Liberia
Libya
Mali
Mauritania
Marokko
Niger
Nigeria
Sudan
Somalia
South Africa

Its high time we Christians rise up. Even though our weapons of warfare are not carnal but mighty through Christ to the pulling down of all strongholds through Jesus Christ our lord.
We overcame them by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.
Amen.

I'm glad the poster highlighted this issue because it's appalling that many Nigerian youths are ignorant about a whole lot of things. One can read the interview of former Nigeria's envoy to Sudan to get more perspective.
Excerpts

Did you discover anything inimical to the interest of Nigeria in the reports of your boss?

Many! He was actually being selective in his reports. At that time, the war between the Northern and Southern Sudan was on and he was always behind the North who were Muslims. I discovered he was pro-Northern Sudan. He picked whatever he liked, never giving the true picture. On two or three occasions, former President Olusegun Obasanjo invited him and asked if he was still Nigria’s ambassador. He asked him how many embassies Sudan had. At that time also, Sanni Yerima, former governor of Zamfara State was in Sudan for two weeks and underwent indoctrination. He was exposed to all the training camps of Osama Bin Laden, who was my neighbour. In fact, Osama Bin Laden’s office in Sudan was just a few blocks away from our embassy. No report was made. Our embassy never reported Osama Bin Laden. In addition to having his headquarters in Sudan, Osama Bin Laden also had many firms and industries which he only used as a façade because he was actually using those firms as training camps for Al-Qaeda. Among his trainees were many Nigerians from the North. They would leave Nigeria as if they were going to study but were at the training camps of Osama Bin Laden. I got wind of all these things and told them, but my reports were dismissed. It was a policy of “see nothing, say nothing” because they were working for Muslims. They were not able to draw the line between Arabisation and Islamisation. What Sudan was practising was both Arabisation and Islamisation which led to the breakaway of the South from the North. That was the dangerous part of it which was also my major concern. In fact, that was the main concern of Mo Ibrahim, the richest Sudanese. That’s why it pained him seriously up till now that Sudan must not have divided just because of religion. And it’s one of the reasons why he established the Mo Ibrahim prize. That is the motive behind the prize. Up till today, the man is still pained.

Are you saying what was being practised in Sudan was exported into Nigeria?

When Sudan came under pressure during the US Bill Clinton era, they sent Bin Laden away. Osama Bin Laden had established himself there. In fact, one of his wives was the daughter of the Speaker. So when Sudan was under pressure to send Osama Bin Laden away, he decided to divide his Al-Qaeda army into three; he took the first team to Afghanistan and kept the second team in Sudan; the third group he sent out to be disturbing the whole world, including Magreb which is close to Mali, Chad and Niger. I raised an alarm in 2001 that Al-Qaeda was in Nigeria – that Al-Qaeda had penetrated Nigeria through Chad. You know Chad has a border with Borno State. We have about eight million Nigerians in Sudan: people who settled there after pilgrimage. Many who couldn’t reach Saudi Arabia just settled there. And Al-Bashir (Sudanese president) was a descendant of Borno State. I reported all these, including the fact that Yerima was there at that time but I was ignored. Yerima got back to Nigeria and the following day, he declared Sharia. And from then, they were sending students for Jihadist training. Then when I got wind of the distribution of Osama Bin Laden Al-Qaeda groups, I reported. I told them to check our borders between Mali, Niger, and Chad – that Al-Qaeda was on the move. It got to a stage that it became evident that my report was becoming a concern to our permanent secretary then who incidentally had intelligence security background as a former director of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency. His name is Ambassador Heart. He brought in his NIA background into the Foreign Service. He knew what was sensitive and newsworthy. So he took the case seriously and played his part. But instead of our government sending inspectors were to check the veracity of my reports, they didn’t do that; they would just call the NIA man there who was also a Borno man who would refute anything I said. He would tell them not to mind me because I was a Christian and a religious bigot. In fact, he said Obasanjo deliberately sent me there to spy on the ambassador. That was how they usually dismissed my reports.

Pls try and listen to the tape nd find out the way ndigbo will be islamised i.e tru biz partnership deals in oda wrds, dey intend to pump money into igbo business men's hands. The east should xpect naira rain nd nt bomb. Accordng to Mr Bosun, differ strategies have been maped out for differ zones of the country- the north- bomb nd ak47, the east - money, the west- islam like christianity so dat christians in d west can easily accept islam as der won't be much differ btwn the 2 religion in wedding attire, sunday morng worship etc.
Besides, some ebony boys accepted islam in Abuja recently after been given N5million each by northern govs. N2million nd N1million by Rochas Okorocha nd Orji Uzor respectively. So my dear, don't make bost cos as we speak nw, a 25 yrs ago plan is quietly unfolding nd taking christians unaware.

This is why we want Biafra!
We started the agitation before Jonathan came!

Islam has been a problem in Nigeria ever since I was a kid!
What caused the "Reihnhard Bonke" riots in Kano? Christian were killed in hundreds just because they were planing for a crusade.
Check the history of the killings and riots in Northern Nigeria, then you will know that Islam is darkness personified.
You guys should stop living in denial!

Rubbish! All ya should use your heads well. For twenty five years this plan had been done and it's only now it's discovered? We have had christian leaders since 1999 except for the few years of Yar'adua and none of them could unearth the plan? Leave religion and ethnicity alone be your self. Enemies of Nigeria want to use divide n rule. Be wise

That is why there is so much violence in the country. As long as a Christian/Southerner remains the violence will quadruple. It is not about unearthing the plan but continuous Christian/Southern leadership is frustrating the plans.

I have heard the message, and i know that there is a reason why Gej became president in the first place. if you look at Nigeria in the present, without reference to her past, or choosing to ignore the religious aspect, then u will see it merely as a PDP plot, at best, or a religiously fanatical message, at worst.

I am a christian dr presently serving in Kano, and I can tell you that, though many hausas/muslims tolerate Christians, the most dont. They also believe a Northerner should always rule.

Boko Haram particularly targets Kano because of its tolerance for Christians more than Sokoto/Caliphate.

I stand by my belief that the only way for this present Nigeria to move forward is for IT TO BE DESTROYED (constitution, ideologies, etc) AND ANOTHER ENTITY BE CREATED FROM THE RUBBLE. What the name of that new entity will be, i dont know. But this much i know- IT SHOULDN'T BE CALLED NIGERIA.

Thank you.

Glory be to God for hearing our cries so much that today Christian youth are beginning to get a clearer picture of the muslim north islamization agenda. Their desperate attempt at hiding the truth is useless as we have clear evidence of their intents.
To my Igbo brothers, it is not about ethnicity alone. Christianity binds us with many other people and we must be our brothers' keepers. From western Nigeria to the middle belt, when the clarion call is heard do not be found wanting.
The joy of the Lord is our strength and if we stand together, victory is certain.

Now, I'm no longer surprised on why muslim leaders fail to condemn violence of extremist Islamic insurgents, it all works out their grand purpose.
