The MAIN PROBLEM with that article is the writer's referencing the bible 'God' AS GOD. It is WRONG and blasphemous to refer to the Jewish god of the bible as GOD. Yahweh or Jehovah IS NOT GOD.

I believe there is an almighty Creator, known to our ancestors and the rest of the world which came to be later invaded by christianity and islam, with both religions carrying a VERY DIFFERENT conceptualizaton of God than the one hitherto known to humanity. The Creator was known as an all-powerful but aloof God, who did not directly intervene in the lives of his creation, but allowed powerful entites ('the gods') the freedom to do so, and even to create other beings (like man). God didn't directly create humans. One or more of those lesser 'gods' did.

So that's where the problem lies - taking the Jewish bible writers at their word that the being they claim as God actually is God. Yahweh, going by the ancient framework/structure just outlined, was merely another of those subsidiary 'gods', but most certainly NOT GOD. Yahweh was particularly brutal as seen in the old testament. He was not omniscient or omnipresent. Strolling through the 'garden of Eden', he didn't know where 'Adam' was. 'Adam, where art thou?'

If you're even a least bit conversant with the Bible you'd realize during that era of law, God punished the sins of man with death (the wages of sin is death. ROM 6:23; without the shedding of blood there shall be no remission of sin.HEB 9:22b).The blood of lambs or calves are used when the sins are not grievious but the life of the sinner is taken when it's a terrible offence (e.g adultry, idolatry).

Even though they were wiped out many times, they somehow were resurrected for more killings for the sins that was allegedly committed more than 400 years prior.
