This Car was branded a Salvaged title Because it was Repossessed. Repossession is generally used to refer to a financial institution taking back an object that was either used as collateral or rented or leased in a transaction. When a repossession occurs a vehicle owner fails to make loan payments, and the financial institution holding the title takes possession of the vehicle. There is no specific formula in most states that specifies when a vehicle is deemed salvage; this is typically decided on a case by case basis. Often a vehicle is still safely driveable even if ''technically'' considered a total loss by an insurance company, Carfax, sell title reports to prospective car buyers which, among other things, reveals these title statuses. Inspired, i am not sure if i agree with that explanation of yours. A repossession is repossession and a salvage is a salvage. A repossession will only be a salvage if the the vehicle was damaged while being repossessed. I stand to be corrected |
