Despite the ousting of Team Nigeria from the ongoing FIFA world cup in Brazil, the extraordinary saves by Super Eagles GoalKeeper, Vincent Enyeama are still fresh in the minds of Nigerians and the world at large.

The said outstanding performance led to social media outburst of statements like “Enyeama can save a relationship” amongst others.

The first lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan who had made all efforts in her own way to see to the release of the over 200 girls abducted by the Islamic sect Boko Haram, especially through her infamous “Diariss God” speech and “Only you waka come” catch phrase has once again called on Nigerians to rally around the appointment of Vincent Enyeama as the Minster of Defence.

According to her “Enyeama has showed us all he can organize his defense and save everything save able, why not give him a chance? Now that the so called trained military personnel and service chiefs have not been able to save our girls after all these months”

“Personally I have want him (yes, want) to be the appointed Chief of Defense staff, but they say it is for Army, Navy or Air force so I will talk to my husband to make him the Defense Minister” She added.

It would be recalled that the first lady has influenced the appointment and elections of several key public office holders in our country, hence this pronouncement should not be taken for granted by the public, especially as Enyeama is looking forward to ending his international football career in order to ‘save lives’ and everyone is willing to do everything possible to effect the safe release of the girls.
