I am thinking of setting up a Dog Kennel in Nigeria, can anyone give ideas of how lucrative this business is/ can be.
I have a passion for Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers , Boxers and Mastiffs , please advise.

I advice if want to start dis business u must av passion cuz is very stressful and is lucrative for starters start with rott or german shepherd if u are successful with dis breeds then u can now move to mastiffs,boerboel. reason for dis is dat boerboel or mastiff type are expensive d loss will be much if not successful

I have 20,000 naira for purchasing the dog, for food and thr rest my parents would take care of that and am not thinking of starting with rottweilers becus there are too many rott breeders, so could 20,000 naira Get Me a Female Doberman or German Shepherd?

the last time i checked, it was still lucrative, but are u prepared for the stress involved. its no child's play which i assume you know. you talk about a dog kernel. that sounds like you looking at a big pix here. first and foremost- the breed of the the dogs involved will to a large extent affect your profitability, the feeds for the dogs, the vet care they receive also.then on your own part, you cannot be disgusted at stepping on dog poop.
truth is- if you dont have serious money, dont even venture into this business as a source of income. but if u wanna do it for the fun of it, then carry go. as whatever losses you incur which are inevitable wont break you.

it won't be so lucrative. My neighbour tried. They always complained that rotweilers were too wild.

My broda dnt be discouraged, dog biz is very lucrative all u need to do is to have passion in doing d biz then u will mk it big time, just as I hv benefited 4rm it, I equally have dog kennel here in jos wt 14 female adult of diff varieties of breeds which some liters twice a year and once a year so u can imagine how much u will be making in a year. Although d biz is very stressful bt if u hv enough capital then u can employ sm1 to tk care of d dogs for u .The cost of rotwieller puppies are 50 to 60k per puppy 4 dos dt misquote d price.

I presently own a German Shepherd and I have to tell You that you really must love breeding to handle more than one. My Dog is a handful and I wonder how those who have many can handle it. I will advise you raise one first and see how it goes. I did it just cos I love the dog and he keeps people from coming into our premises unannounced or uninvited. If you love it, go for it. I am sure it will grow on you!

is lucrative if you have passion for it,currently i have 4 dogs in my house, 2 bull mastiff one standard puddle and another mix breed which i might uploads the pics here if i choose too, i dont think 20,000 naira will be enough to buy pure breed of any kind of foreign dogs, i bought each of my bull-mastiff like 150k converted to naira 2yrs ago here in ghana.
