There is need for NAFDAC or a regulatory body to visit EPLORER cakes in Gbagada. They sell cakes and ice creams and their outlet in Gbagada is the first shop by the left as you move into Prince supermarket.

It was my son’s birthday today, the 16th of July and we got a cake from them the day before; a big well decorated cake for him to celebrate at school with his mates; kids in nursery school. Little did we know that the cake was a painted sepulcher.

When the cake was opened at school, it was discovered the cake was already spoilt and decaying, hence the school had to return the cake. In fact, when we got back from work, the partly cut cake was oozing the decaying odor. Imagine the embarrassment. My son cried all through as he was not allowed to cut or eat from the cake.

The worst part was that on returning the cake to the outlet where it was bought, the owner of the outlet, a lady refused to take back the cake or even apologize. In fact, she was so abusive and even threated to call the commissioner of police saying we were disturbing at her shop. It is unfortunate that I don’t know her name or I would have included it here so that people that know here would at least talk to her. I am sure she will get to see this.

They also confirmed that 2 other people had returned cakes they bought the day before, yet this wicked and dubious woman still left the cakes on display for sale. She also refused to take them off the display when we asked her to.

What would have happened if my son and his classmates (2-4 year olds) had eaten that cake? That would have been massive food poisoning on all the students.

Any official of NAFDAC that is reading this should please check them out. I have included the picture of the cake and the tag on it as well just for easy identification.

She has to be stopped or she will poison people all in the name of making money. Who knows how many have been poisoned from buying cakes from her.

If the op is absolutely and faultlessly right about her claims, I suggest this thread be shown way to front page. You never can tell who will be sold spoilt cake next.

Madam, carry the cake and go straight to Consumer Protection Agency office or NAFDAC office and make your reports with the receipt of the purchase of the cake. Make sure you don't tear the pack the cake was put inside.

Please do not go to the police. It seems she has an upper hand since she threatened to call the commissioner of police. The two agencies I mentioned will deal with the matter.

That woman is very wicked and heartless!!

angry

@ Mukina2 or Obinoscopy, please this thread should be on FP. Thanks!

Moderators don't be too fast to bring somebody's business to ruin. By bringing uninvestigated stuffs like this to the front page. I'm sure u don't know the pains involved in building a business.

Understand that some customers are difficult to deal with and even when u try to apologize they are still ranting. Moreso a staff may just have a bad day, do u expect his/her doing to ruin someones business? Nairaland was down and some data were even lost and nobody crucified Seun, we all showed understanding. Why. Wdnt u reciprocate

Yes I support exposing frauds and those who intimidate. But make your findings. Don't judge. A matter after. Hearing one side

***judging from some peoples comment, a competitor can actually stage manage a situation. And post it here and others will believe it. Some people are still student sha, I don't blame them, till they get to the market world

WOW!!!

Please get a lawyer, keep your reciept, gather your witnesses and sue.

Take clearer photos and even refridgerate the cake for evidence purpose.

You will be surprised what you get. Dont let the shop intimidate you.

Hurry and get yourself lawyered up or forever hold your peace.

And mind you, if you are not suing the outlet, you can be held for slander just by this post.
