Yesterday the 16th of July 2014 two futo students were reported to have been shot dead by police officers on the road to FUTO. As spoken by an eye witness he said that a commercial bus commuting people majorly students from Owerri town to the Federal University was ordered to halt at a police check point very near to Nekede and the bus driver refused to heed the command. In an attempt to flee the police officers opened fire and begun to shoot at the bus and the two alleged students who were sitting in the back seat of the bus were shot dead instantaneously. Right now there is unrest amongst students.
