The Super Eagles are now ranked 34th in the world,
according to the latest FIFA rankings released
today.
Nigeria were eliminated in the second round of the
2014 World Cup, after a decent showing where they
also drew 0-0 with Iran, beat Bosnia 1-0 and lost
3-2 to Argentina in the group stages.
This means the African champions are now third in
Africa, only behind Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire, who
are ranked 24th and 25th respectively.

We were the best africa perfomance in the world cup still they no give us. The team (a finalyst) current no1 Germany could score till 113 min s we did in 4 mins and did it twice in a regular match

Algeria was the best performing African nation. You forget that they scored a record 4 goals against South Korea- the most by any African nation in WC history.

They went on to give a spirited performance against the Germans where they held them until ET when the Germans scored 2 goals and they were still able to pull one back against the eventual World Champions. Whatever you think you did against losers Argentina holds no water for a team that held the best through ET and scored a goal that Argenina couldn't score.

Algeria has wholly earned their number one spot in Africa.

Good to see us at the number 3 spot in Africa though the gap is still cringe-worthy

I think the eagles over achieved to b third in
Africa. Algeria really deserved top spot. we
were far adrift Algeria; going by the last
rankings. Cote d'ivoire won a match. dats
enough point to keep them above us.
