This Post is solely to warn potential subscribers to COOLLINK YAHCLICK Internet, please do your assignment well ! What they don't tell you is that you are basically on a contract, like UK Contract phones. Failure to pay on any particular month (whether you turned on your modem or not) for any reason (out of town, broke, uncertainties etc) and you will be charged N3,000. Failure to pay for 2 months in a row, and you get disconnected. You can get re-connected back for a small token fee of N10,000. smiley So if you are mostly out of town weeks at a time, you should remember this is not DSTV that is pay-as-you-go, you will still pay, whether you went to the rig for a month, your bill will be waiting for you in your inbox.

So if you are looking for a decent internet connection, decent data bundle for an affordable price, AND one that you can use and not use at will and not be charged, then please STEER WELL CLEAR OF COOLLINK YAHCLICK.

In summary,

1) Installation/KIT/Dish/Modem - N135,000 (As at March, 2014). You get a dish like a dstv dish installed, the problem with this is that you only have internet access at home and can't carry it around with you.

2) I paid N17,500 for a 22GB Package. (Imagine my shock when I heard Spectranet charge N7,000 for 20GB in Abuja, please spectranet can you come to Port Harcourt ? PLSSSSSS) And they are mobile !..You can carry your little portable modems around and be feelin funky and connected on the go!..

3) Suspending your account is N3,000. After a month of inactivity it is N10,000. To suspend your account you need to send an email to them, imagine !..Sending email everytime I am not going to be around ?? Plsss give me a break.

4) Your data bundle is divided across 30 days, meaning in my case, I could not exceed 2.2GB in 3 days. If i exceeded it, I was immediately put on a slow connection. So that 22GB is not yours all at once, it was given to you in piece meals. (Reallly frustrating if you are a high data consumer). Meanwhile Etisalat, glo and MTN them, if you like finish your 30GB data bundle in 3 days, that is your business !..

5) Lastly, their customer service is horrible !..I am yet to get a response from them to my queries made over a MONTH ago. They do not reply their mails or answer their phones, I doubt they even have a customer service. Called the agent that signed me on and she kept posting me, till I gave up. sad

My recommendation ? Stick to the mainstream providers (MTN, ETISALAT, GLO etc) if you live in small towns like PH, Warri, Enugu. For Abj and Lagos, I'm sure you don't need to be told who to use because you have loads of variety. I'm sure Coollink will not have business in Abj and Lagos because quite honestly, they lack ALL they need to be competitive there.

Check the area you live and check the service providers with strong networks there.

Be guided !

YahClick is a satellite Broadband Internet Service. It is stationary, it is not mobile. It can be used anywhere in Nigeria.
The people in the remotest village in Nigeria can have access to internet with YahClick, internet is for all regardless of your location in Nigeria.
We are able to reach every part of Nigeria through our partners/reseller/agent. In this your case as mentioned you were signed to the service through an Agent not directly through Coollink. The customer care you mentioned are those of the agent not Coollink. Each Agent provides customer care and support. I will appreciate it if you can provide the name of the agent, each agent is accountable.

Addressing all the issues raised:

- There is no contract except you are going for a promo where terms and condition applies as it is for any promo

- Service is prepaid, if you do not renew your subscription it is automatically suspended. If you renew is it is automatically activated.

- There are numerous data packages. The N17,500 package you mentioned is at a speed of 3Mbps. There are different download package from 12GB to 40GB at up to speed of 1Mbps to 10Mbps for Home use from N9300 to N29,900. For Business use there are speed from 1.5Mbps to 15Mbps. There are Unlimited Business plans from 1Mbps. There are various download speed and download options.

- The 4GLTE, Wimax and Mobile internet provider you mentioned provide Shared Internet Service like YahClick but do not offer the speed of YahClick. If you check well they offer Up to Speed of 2Mbps maximum but on YahClick you can do up to 15Mbps for Business and 10Mbps for Home use.

- There is no charge for suspension or inactivity. Link is automatically suspended if subscription is not renewed on due date. End user can however request for suspension officially by mail or leave the subscription to run.

-There is Fair Access Policy - To ensure that all YahClick High-Speed Internet Service customers have equitable access to the network, YahClick sets usage allowances on the amount of data a subscriber can download within stated time periods specified in each service plan. If at any time a subscriber’s Usage Total is above the Usage Allowance, the YahClick system will temporarily limit the speed at which the subscriber can receive data over the network. Subscribers will still be able to use the Internet service but at a lower speed. The YahClick Fair Access Policy “FAP” is designed to impact the fewest customers who overuse the network while helping ensure the highest speeds for the vast majority of the users.

- There are plans without restriction to your download within 30 days and there are plans that the download is spread over the 30 days, it is the end user choice. However there is Free unlimited download between 1am – 6pm which is not part of the subscribed data.

- Provide the details of the agent with horrible customer care for this to be addressed. You can send the details to sales@yahclick.com.ng

Let me start by saying that Yahclick is a satellite internet solution and not a mobile system, and is not economical for micro users, both from the stand point of startup cost and monthly maintenance fee. But if you look at several other factors, moreover, if you not a micro user, then you will see How wrong you are on casting aspersion on the system. As far As satellite internet connection is concerned, YAHCLICK remain the best option, in terms of set up costs, monthly subscription fees, space, and the speed available. And satellite internet systems are the best options when the mainstream mobile providers are not available Or are known to be poor Or As a backup system in time of failure in infrastructure of the mobile service providers. If you did not segment yourself properly before entering the satellite segment, you may have the kind of testimonies you are sharing here.

One of their home subscriptions go for as low as N9,000 or so and you can do your high data downloads at night between the hours of 1am and 6am at the speed of 1mb per sec .right?

Means your subscription can span for as long as 3months if you comunicate properly when you will not be using it. Example, use it for one week, travel for 3weeks and repeat the process again and again.

You can get SMILE 4G LTE device and subscribe to the service. There is service in PH. There are mobile modems called the MIFI u can take about with you. U get up to 21mbps of speed though it's not advisable to use that speed for video streaming. U can reduce and increase speed at will. And there are bundles valid for a year. It means it's there till u exhaust it and u don't have to buy data to keep it.
You can call 08025954084 for more information.
Thanks
