There are speculations that Senator Oluremi Tinubu (OON) would contest for the office of Lagos State governor come 2015 .

This is what she said :

Are you running for the office of governor?
Even to run for this office, it is this press that started it.

So can the press start it again?
No don’t start it oh! Truly and truly speaking it is never my ambition to run for governor of Lagos State. Remember, my husband did it for eight years and I was not an outsider to it. It is not a place for the tender hearted, it is a lot of work to govern Lagos and I am not the type that don’t put hard work into whatever I do. I don’t think I have the strength to say that I want to govern the present state of Lagos. There is still a lot of work to be done in Lagos, a lot of work.

Such Statements have being made in the past by other Politicians but later they Changed their mind and contested ,but my main issue is that what if she decides to contest,what is wrong with that? off-course She has the right to contest for any Political Post she desires.Her decision does not Automatically make her the Governor .What the fuss about even if she decides , her decision does not change anyone choice of a personality and party.


Apart from being the wife of a former governor what other reasons should make her not eligible to contest , even in my own opinion being the wife of a former governor does not make her ineligible but owing to sentiments such reasons may be brought up,We are in a democratic dispensation , the issue of Imperialist Tendencies does not come in here also.
Why so much brouhaha about the likelihood of her interest ?

Bayo Olupohunda wrotes about her and people threw Harsh words at him,Some People believe he was paid , i think the idea of writing about someone does not really mean that one is paid to do it , Love and passion for person like Senator Oluremi Tinubu could be developed as a result of her Contributions to the Society .

I have found her to be a Tender and Kind-hearted,a clear definition of Humility .
If she decides to contest for any Political Position in the future , we would not hesitate to give her our full fledged supports

Apart from the fact that she is the wife of a former governor who has cornered every relevant ofice to his family(even up to the head of market women to his daughter), equity demands that there be a rotational system among the three senatorial districts. Let it go round first before coming back to his kitchen
