Today, the Arewa Youth Development Foundation (AYDF) led hundreds of youths to the palace of the Emir of Kano on a protest calling for the immediate dissolution of Nigeria.
The protesters believed to be students drawn from tertiary institutions in Kano first paid a courtesy visit to the emir before commencing their one hour protest in front of the palace.

They carried placards bearing inscriptions such as
"Hold your petro dollars. Let everyone go his direction"
"Southerners are not welcome here in the North"
"Nigeria belongs to all of us not militants"
"We say No to Northern identification in Southern Nigeria"
"Southerners are militants, kidnappers/ritualists, armed robbers, drug pushers, terrorists, sons/daughters are products of baby factory".

The group further advised non Northerners residing in any part of the northern Nigeria to relocate to their various regions of origin within two weeks to make room for accommodating their "Northern brothers" who would be returning home.

Jonathan with his divisive politics has woken up a sleeping giant! The North will show the south pepper. Any separation will be bloody and the South has more to lose. Nigerians must pray.The military is already the first casualty and suspicion reign amongst the top echelon of Nigeria military and now politicians. The rest of Nigerians are bonded by poverty and religious opium.
