Why do people go to church for no reason other than just to go to church? I have gone all my life and Its always the same message I hear all year round, irrespective of the denomination. Would it make a difference if I missed out today and perhaps bought a cd of the service? |

Scyllapatron: people go to church to sing, clap, dance, give money to pastor and his wife, then go home and continue quarreling with their neighbors.Taa! Aren't you wiser than what you posted? What connection have you with people and how they live their lives and in what ways does their family modus of livelihood affect you? And even when the Pastor and wife shares the offering, shouldn't you be less concerned, giving the mindset you gave it to someone higher, who they claim to represent? To praise, worship God and fellowship with other believers. Nothing feels good like being in the midst of same minded people. |

Church-going has turned to a sunday routine "sunday na day to go church". Many don't know the purpose of going to church. Some go only when invited, some are forced, others just go to fulfil all righteousness, many don't go at all. Hmmm, whichever way it is: "Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is." (1 Corinthians 3:13). Your work must be found perfect before GOD -Rev 3:2 When you outlive the sun, and this golden breath of life leaves your body, as you arrive in the strange land, then you will believe and know you should live to please GOD alone, give Him your time always and enjoy spending time in His presence |

To help solve some problems you may have, instead of alone. 4. To keep your mind fully on what you'd do in a service. |

krall: is there a congregation without a church? A church structure, building with officiating ministers and tithe collecting etc. People can congregate where ever they want. |

I go to church to learn more about God, fellowship with other believers by praising, worshiping and learning together, listen to people's testimony that would give a ray of hope to my need, they teach my kids principles that would take me a longer time to teach them, build a bond among people like a community, etc. All these can be done outside a church like someone pointed out but have u ever on your own spent two hours straight with God? We listen to gospel music and teachings while doing other things, very few people would sit with their bibles while in their homes listening to a preacher preach. |
