DAWN TO DUSK
From dawn
To dusk
They toiled
And sweated;
Their salty sweat
Witnessed their efforts.
It glistered
And streamed lazily
Down their skin.
Each labor
Reflected in
Their hollow eyes;
Each toil
Re-echoed in their
Empty stomachs.

Their salty sweat
Glittered the more
As the sun spawned
On their dark skin;
It sparkled like
A mirrow in the sun
Mirroring out their sorrow.
Their shadows
Cast on dusty mounds
They viewed their burden,
Never daring to lay it down
For they must not;
The task ahead beckons,
Duty calls.

Down to dusk

A must do task
With little or no pay.
