Please help a fellow Naralander, I have been out of employment for over a year now and I have a 4 yr old asmatic son.
He has been admitted in LUTH now for over a week and I have run out of resources, I can't even afford his inhaler and other prescribed drugs let alone pay for his treatment..

The only thing I dislike about us is lack of friends, bridge burning and perfectionist tendencies.

This perfectionist tendencies sucks when you are a writer with speech and writing disabilities. I have forgotten the word for it. But then we keep learning.

Introverts are warriors and problem solvers. Broad spectrum thinkers and love pursuing knowledge via the reading of books.

So why should such a person be broke?

You have no reason joor. Go work on yourself and monetize your values.

Exactly people often mix them together. For me starting and keeping a conversation is not a problem but I dislike social gathering, snapping pictures I feel everybody is looking at me when I do, just stay indoor, listen to music and surf the net.

When I thought that I was abnormal, I found someone just like me�. It's really weird but somehow I've come to terms with it.

I've had to switch career and learnt a digital skill just to intentionally avoid people. I work from home now.
I was checking my report cards from JSS1-SSS3. What I saw shocked me. While in school, I only used to check to see if I came first, second or third as usual.
I saw my Teachers' comments: "He is an intelligent boy, but needs to socialize more". The comment was the same throughout. This new revelation shocked me cos I never knew It was that obvious then as it seemed people always wanted to be around me, probably because of my calm nature and Intelligence.
Apart from family, these days I only get to meet people in church. I've come to terms with who I am.

Nice one! I'm glad to see you are creating more opportunities for yourself despite the fact that you are introverted. I'm doing likewise too though I think I need to develop my public speaking skills more cause my career path and future endeavour will demand it. All the best!

This has got me reflecting on my report cards from primary and secondary school. It was always "she is passive". So this thing didn't start today. �

Good good morning and a great day ahead guys.Been reading ithrough some of your posts as fellow introvert and brother. I must confess ,it takes lot of strength to develop relationship and guard against burning bridges with intros.Buy me s all understand that running away from relationship s and burning bridges won't help neither take u far in life as a person no matter your status.Men are are always helped ,lifted byother men and every bridge burnt or every relationship ignored (positive)or rejected would kick tomorrow because men are not islands.We all must grow in know ledge ,and social skills as we age too.I use to practice total bridge burning until now that Boys are now Men....U will always need some kind of relationship tomorrow ooo!!! And guess what !!that La's t one bridge u burnt might be d strongest and most potent one u will beneeding .Bridges can be burnt on few occasions if one is changing profession and career .Had to do some bridge burning (thorough burning I must say) while I delved in to Full time. Clergy ....some of those relationship s were already toxic to my life while in my process ..you can't hate Men of God and be my friend...you can't always criticise the BODY OF CHRIST while we tangle ....some the relationship were great ..but if I choose to continue with some of them while I am already in this war front ,they are gonna be the WEAK LINK IN MY CONVEYOUR BELT LINE!! so away I did them.But I had some lecturer colleague and friends and some high govt funciinarues ,now that I have son's and daughters who are about flying outside the country and would be. Needing scholarships ,visas,admissions ...who would I have called upon at times like this ?OPPORTUNITIES COMES AS DISGUISE CALLED RELATIONSHIP... The anxiety after a day of socializing can affect one's mental health, you run through every conversation you had, what you said and wish you had or hadn't... Gets exhausting.

Phew!!! The list goes on.
