The fear of Ayoku Liadi, a very top director in UBA, is the beginning of wisdom. Staff of the bank tremble and kowtow before him, while the customers catch cold whenever he sneezes. This dude is however not one to brook any nonsense from any quarters. He is blessed with this unique feature that decorates a man with the title of gentleman.  Little wonder, many worship the ground he treads while praying and hoping that they don’t incur his wrath.Ayoku has an impressive academic qualification and can be said to have a brilliant and intelligent attributes that enamoured the board of UBA to employ him after the controversy that trailed him while working in GTB Sierra Leone. By all standards, Ayoku has recorded some moderate success in his social life as top banker. If some of these could be attributed to him, the question on the lips  of most staffers and customers in the bank who have been at the receiving ends of his acerbic treatments at one time or the other is why has he become a nightmare to both customers and his subordinates at work? Apart from his breathe-down-your-neck approach, Ayo is alleged to always hurl insults at staff members at the slightest provocation. At, UBA headoffice, the fear of Ayo is the beginning of wisdom. So overbearing has he grown that the number of staff, mostly of top rank, is shrinking on a weekly basis. No doubt, his domineering management style is giving the MD, Philip Oduoza a big concern. Happenstances around him bring back the memory of the Yoruba folktale that warns that if the figurine wants to precipitate it downfall; it will make apassionate plea to be taken to the river to swim. The worshipers of the figurine had sensed that it might, at a particular time, be deluded by theoverwhelming numbers of visitors to its shrine for solution over one affliction or the other. Therefore it may presume that its powers transcend terrestrial influence, that it can also take dominion in the river.
