It's a 3.0l V6 with 18/24 mpg. A friend of mine used it at some point. He did not have any problem with it. It also shares parts with some other Toyota models so in terms of parts availability, you are pretty much covered.

God forbid that God Forsaken Big Daddy that loose balance on speed, i have 3 friends who use to have the camry big daddy, they all had a right off accident with the car all complained about the same reason for there crash, lost of balance on speed, will never advice any young guy to buy big daddy or big for nothing whatever name they call it, also i prefer my Toyota Brands , i have never been a fan of Honda, but thanks anyways for the input, thanks

The Corollas that i admire are the recent models which is way high of my budget

@Poster there two different thing in buying a car. First is to afford the purchase cost price and second is to afford the maintenance cost (as in keeping it on the road). You should think deep and ask the right people the right questions. If you are an hustler as you said, think to what purpose you need the car. Avalon is best of Toyota Sedan and you can not compromise its class, think of its fuel consumption and maintenance as compared to corolla or camry. That's my advice for you.

I've always hated that car's exterior design. Not sweet at all. However the more recent ones, I think 2007 to date looks more attractive. You can buy this one if you're more concerned bout performance and not exterior looks.

Well, I've been driving a big daddy for four years, never had an accident, I drive at 160km/hr on some roads and the car is as balanced as ever. Avalon is not a bad ride at all, its strong and durable, highway fuel consumption is okay, though slightly different from 4cylinder engines. A typical Toyota V6 engine does not really consume much fuel unless there's a problem with some components like O2 sensors nigerians don't pay attention to

Finally got the car this week and so far its been an amazing experience, very smooth to drive, loving it so far, thanks to everyone who advice me to get this baby, im indeed loving it !!!

Buy it.. These cars are selling cheap sometimes in USA with high miles, but they are very very good cars... It is like Buying a lexus without the full package lexus luxury and performance.. But it is very close and Toyota makes lexus and so you know,lexus ingenuity is in this car...
In USA they say its better to buy a used car from and old grandmother or grandfather who drive slow and careful.. Toyota avalon is a very popular Grandfather car.. I always see elderly people driving them slow and carefully.. So you will take less risk buying this used... Fuel consumption is no big issue if you get a good price and maintenance will not be as expensive as lexus ,but even so, lexus or this car dont break so easily if you take proper care and service to it... Don't fear this car and it will hold the price value for a long time. If you decide to sell it in the future, you will not loose much of the money you paid..

Thank you so much bro, i got the car for 1.3M full option, i did not fix a thing everything comes intact, infact i consider myself lucky to get it cos it's still in top shape at 105k Mile but after running a VIN check i discover the ODO meter has been tampered, the original mileage was 240k Mile but that didnt worry me abit cos it was own by 1 user with accident free report, the car is still in good shape, i am happy with it
