You saw a laptop of 97K. You didn't have the cash, so you borrowed 50K from your Mum and 50K from your Dad. Total = 100K.You bought the laptop which left you with 3K change. You gave ur Dad 1K and your Mum 1K and kept the other 1K to yourself.Now you owe your Mum 49K and your Dad 49K. But 49K+49K = 98K + your 1K kept = 99K.Where is the missing 1K? |

@ sammyjay3, the total sum of money u borrowed from ur Mum and Dad is 100k and you kept 1k to urself which is why it's remaining 99k. U can't pay them from their own money. 1 Like |

Remember u borrowed 100k from ur parents, buy a laptop of 97k collected ur change of 3k, (remember u still owe ur parents 100k) u decide to payback 2k remaining bal of 98k. (Remember u got extra 1k left) 97k(laptop money)+2k(money paid to ur parents)+1k(remaining)=100k 1 Like
