i have always read the story of Jesus right from when i was a kid and though the story has great morals i never really underlined one of the outstanding points that Jesus wanted us to get and this was fighting temptation with Gods word.

if u notice in all three temptations Jesus' first word to satan was "THE SCRIPTURES SAYS" that is to show us the real importance of Gods word and as a point of note Jesus had all the power to do away with satan in a difrerent way but he didnt.
