Dr Yilkyes Bala is a successful businessman, a father of six living in a £1.3million home in leafy Beckenham South East London. He hosted sumptuous dinners at the Dorchester to mix with society’s elite including the Nigerian Ambassador and senior officers at City of London Police.
His companies which included Golden Shield, Mayfair and Knightsbridge Guarding, also provided alarm monitoring, VIP bodyguards and uniformed guards for offices, but with the help of a corrupt Home Office employee based in Croydon Bala had improperly obtained more than 200 refugee passports and helped more than 100 of Nigerians, including most of his extended family, to enter the UK illegally under false and stolen identities.

Bala, 55, started a seven year jail sentence from August 1st, after a jury convicted him of conspiring to breach immigration laws.

He already had connections and businesses that was turning over a comfortable profit, and If he had just stopped his shady runs years ago he wouldn't have been caught. I guess the allure of filthy lucre is just too difficult to resist. Shame on him for bringing more shame to this country's already battered image. Let him go and reflect on his misdeeds in prison.

No amount of wealth nor fame can buy integrity and honesty ... Its in-born thing.
