HI My fellow nigerian,s
i,am based in sydney australia.
i,have idea of how to preserve fresh farming produce for up to twelve month shelf life.
because i,notice that most of farming been produce in nigeria always goes waste or rot.
so because of that most farmers loose so much money for their labor.
so i,will like to introduce this idea in the near future to nigeria.
what i,mean by fresh farming preservation? preservation mean to keep farming produce fresh for months even a year,
for example fresh maize or fresh corn can last up to one year,as a shelf life,
preservation available for the following farm produce, fresh pepper/ fresh tomatoes/fresh okra/fresh maize or fresh corn/ all fresh vegetables/ fresh egg/ oranges/ pineapple/ garden egg/ beans/ water melon/ mangoes/ cashew/ mushroom/fresh milk/meat/ chicken etc.anyway most of the farming produce can be preserve for long time without any add of any chemical.but the problem with nigeria is electricity power.because we need constant of electricity power for the preservation to work well.please can my fellow nigerian,s tell me if it,s a good idea to introduce this preservation of farming produce into nigeria,
please i,need your opinion on this matter, thank you very much

Its will be a good idea if it can use other power which is not electricity

thank you my friends,we can also use generators to power the preservation equipments, but it may be expensive to buy diesel to run the generators, solar power can power the equipments as well, but solar power is too expensive. and if nigeria can have preservation equipments for their farming produce, then they can export their farming fresh produce to all over the world, such like USA/ europe canada/ japan/ south korea/australia. beacuse labour cost it,s very cheap in nigeria than those countries.so nigeria can take advantage of labour cost of those countries. for example here in australia 1kilogram of atarodo about $25.00. sometime it even more than that.

Its a very good project. Power is major problem we are facing around here. We dont even have enough for domestic use.
One can consider the project if there is the market for one product. I ventured into fresh vegetables and I have been seriously battling with the market.
But sincerely is a good prospect

@JETHRO2, Yes you are right, electricity power is a major problem in nigeria and some african countries, because farming business without
preservation of farming produce,it just like pure water into basket,i,knew we need preservation of foods in nigeria, with preservation of farming produce,we can crate millions of jobs, anyway no problem without a solution, thank you my friends

Please don't dump the idea. Keep working and innovating on it. Its definitely one of our needs despite that we have a lot going the other way. My believe us that it will still be recognized. You may also search for private investors who can possibly fund the project. Keep hope alive

@jethro2, thank you my brother for your support, i,am working on this preservation project here in australia right now,and i,will start the project sometime next year in nigeria, if you travel to europe/ canada/ usa/ asia and australia south africa, then you will see a massive preservation wharehouses,
in where they kept their foods, because most foods have their season, without preservation of farming produce, nigeria cannot become like those countries that i,mention above.as i,said before,if we can start build preservation wharehouses for foods, then nigeria can export foods worth billions of dollars every year to other countries.i,will also introduce mobile cold room as well into nigeria next year.
and nigeria people would surely like the mobile cold room, because this mobile cold room is good for people who want to do party, they don,t need to be looking for drum and ice block anymore, they can rent it and load their drinks inside, and within 30 minutes their drinks is already cold/ and the mobile cold room also good for meat sellers/ catering/ fish sellers/ hotels/ice block makers/ pure water sellers/drug manufactures/ farmers/etc. and you can take it to anywhere and use it,you can take it to farm and use it as well, to keep your foods fresh.
you told me last time that you always supply vegetables? but how do you cope with your business without preservation to keep your vegetables fresh? no vegetables sellers or suppliers in australia without preservation equipments. if you are selling vegetables here in australia without preservation equipments in your shop or your wharehouse, goverment here may send you to prison and pay some heavy fine , because you are putting people life in danger.anyway we may get to that stage in the future in nigeria, thank you my friend i,will talk to you again. have a nice business overthere
