For years, every attempt to develop indigenous products have been sabotaged by the vested interests. We tried Ajiokuta steel to own the African market, those who felt we are born to depend not to be depended on, kept putting rods in our wheels of change. Our scientists tried developing drugs, they called it child's play, instead they felt that we will continue to be used for drug trials (Many of us do not know that some of the drugs donated to us here are for trial), remember the Pfizer trial with innocent children in the north. We are continually made to look bad, useless corrupt and worthless. But do you really think the world is right about you, don't you think their opinion is affecting even the way we see our selves.

My dear, this ebola issue has open another panorama. We have a drug developed by a Nigerian, a good move that will pull us out of those that will keep blackmailing us that they will stop giving us drugs if we do not do their bidding. More importantly, this attempt may be the beginning of good life for our young people that studied biochem, microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology etc, who at the moment have virtually no place in Nigerian job market, because we are compelled to patronise foreign products.

Now is the time to boost the morale/guts of our scientist making effort to free us. The US has called our Ebola drug "insecticide", let us use one voice and let them know this generation is ready to face their dribbling.
