KON's breaking news may be late. But Colin's twitter account is constantly updated, that I know.

Once again, you have failed to provide a verifiable source...those sites are akamu sites, nothing authentic

I've googled this news and only Nairaland and some quack copy and paste blogs are carrying it.

If this news was authentic, I ought to have seen goal.com's version of the news or even BBC Sports as part of the first page results

If your trusted sites carry am, that makes it verifiable?

I first saw it on Brila FM's Facebook page. Are they verifiable for you? smiley

Well with time we will know if it's real or fake.

We know you love your Keshi and you want him to keep his job. smiley

Goke7: i just hope that with the nff building on fire, our national team will not also go on fire, we are treating this keshi's matter very lightly with all the silly comments of him not being tactical, i also hope we will not eat our words when the Eagles begin to struggle to qualify for afcon or fail woefully at next year afcon under a different set of coaches.

i will say this again, if you want to replace keshi, get a coach that has taken a team to the quarterfinal of a world cup before, anything short of this , we are going back to where keshi picked us from.

we have very short memories as Nigerians, keshi deserve a pay rise for his efforts so far, only myopic individuals will not agree, he's not as bad as we painting him to be, I have my reservations about keshi as well but I refuse to run down a coach because he did not select my preferred players.

Simple Question

Has Keshi earned the right to have his wages tripled?

No one is against pay rise but it needs to be proportional to results.

If we triple Keshi's pay after a poor World Cup showing where Keshi either condoned or encouraged his own players protesting about bonuses or to stay awake up until 2am sharing bonus money; what will happen if Nigeria actually got to Semi Finals?

France was a winable game!

He may not have earned his right to have his wages tripled but he has earned the right to have his wages reviewed upwards, you cannot renew a contract without increasing wages, its all about negotiations. we have to moved on and put the 2014 world cup behind us, this is the reason we have not been able to build on the success of the 90s.

My own question is do we want to go back to where keshi picked us from? agreed keshi must have erred [can't still believe he dropped igiebor from the world cup] but if a new coach comes in now especially if he's a Nigerian, he will be too much in a hurry to change things quickly by bringing back some players keshi left out to please Nigerians, this will bring a lot of pressure and the team will struggle, look here african teams are not that easy as we think anymore, and at this stage even me and you will not have any patience for a new coach who will not hit the ground running with good results. Let's retain keshi for now and use the afcon next year to judge him finally, the next world cup is still four years away, we can still bring in a quality and renowned coach after the afcon next year to plan for the world cup in 2018.

I too will like to see Keshi stay but the man needs to climb down from his ego trip. 5m a month is already a lot of money. Pay rise to 6m or 7m monthly makes sense but to triple his pay? If that is what Keshi wants let's look for someone else.
