The death of "OAU says NO" struggle that many could see in view before now may have resurrected again today as the Management of Obafemi Awolowo University issue rustication letters to the Students' Union leaders for their various roles in the struggle.

In a Press Statement issued this afternoon by the Public Relations Officer of the OAU Students' Union, Comrade Bamidele Oludare, the Union leadership were served rustication letters from the University for four semesters for protesting against hike in fees. He said the rustication order has however been suspended and they are now placed on probation by the University authority.

(As At 3:50pm today,21st August, 2014)

OUR UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT AT IT AGAIN!

Students that make up the leadership of the Union have been served rustication letters from the University for 4 semesters for protesting against hike in fees.

This rustication order however has been suspended and they are hereby on probation in the University. Some other students have also been served letters.

This is a clear indication that the struggle against hike in fees has taken another dimension. Great IFE Beware!!!

The letters were issued simultaneously today.

What can I say....Nigeria universities and fee hikes. I wonder why dey increase d fees jes like dat without anytin to show for it. Now some students are now being punished for protesting. Corruption has indeed built a Mansion in Naija...

Everybody is his/her own boss in Nigeria today cos their is no strong leadership.

The politics of impunity and "you chop make I chop" that this present government is running must be put to an end.

The youths and the poor masses are the ones suffering from the decisions and indecision of our leaders while they go on looting us dry.

This is not right.....every student has the right to protest against what he/she considers unjust.

Still,increasing the fees unfortunately had to happen......after govt telling ASUU last year that the 3trillion promised in 2009 over two years,was no longer possible....instead it will be 1 trillion over 5 years.

The unionist should be released from the shackles of scapegoat with immediate alacrity.
