The 2011 Yaris, the smooth, cute, unassuming underdog... the one that no one gave a chance. . . sailing through ever so quietly and swiftly, the well tuned and masterfully crafted engine exploding air-fuel mixtures with the efficiency of a military research grade, concept fighter Jet. . . the tiny transmission delivering excellent hair-pin precision ratios as the engine purrs along like an overindulged kitty kat belonging to the Saudi Prince lol . . . The pearl black, stealth assassin that no one gave a chance, weaves gracefully through the carnage created by the petrol drunk lads who know next to nothing about the borrowed monsters they've put on the road, let alone how to drive em properly. . . This is an unbelievably, ridiculously easy win for TOYOTA YARIS 2011. . . Good thinking good product!!  |

Like a scene from "need for speed" I suddenly realize that several young men might have been injured and trapped in their near exploding wrecks by now, the pictures flash through my mind. . . I thought I saw the broad tail lights of a challenger shining through the bushes, my mouth is still wide agape from the impossible positions two SUVs have assumed after I guess they must have somersaulted several times ( thanks to HIGH center of gravity) , I rem seeing a nissan pathfinder/Infinti or something ontop of a small cottage house, yes u read that right, ontop of a house  . . . . A lexus Jeep ontop of a tree, choi!, and what looked like a space bus straddling the road divider with all four tires off the ground. . . . . car fluids and innards strewn all over the road as I waded effortlessly through the carnage with my small but powerful bullet of a car . . . I did see what looked like the remnants of some small car. . . A Korean car may be? Not sure, looked like a rumpled huge size tin foil or something though. . . Guess that car was the worst hit. . .The Charger must have plowed right into it and pushed it way under the lorry parked by the road side, before the Charger ended up on its own roof itself . . . . God help us. . . I have to stop . . . I have to go back and help those guys. . . Sigh  2 Likes |

As I begin to make the U-turn and my eyes fix on the other lane with oncoming traffick, I can't believe what I'm seeing. . . Looks like a Toyota, A camry maybe?. . . Oh my . . . It's an Avalon! completely split in two  . . . No jokes, folks if not for the extremely dire nature of these circumstances I would have taken a picture of this particular oddity. . .I mean the car split right in half after it must have sailed through the air from our lane into the oncoming lane and landed right smack on God knows what. . . Lord have mercy on us, such a long vehicle, must have weaved wildly out of control while trying to avoid the wreckage I so easily avoided with my elegantly nimble YARIS, guess the length for days contributed to the easy, nearly perfectly symmetrical split, oh my its even yellow colored too or is that cream or something. . . . Talk about a banana split  . . . pun intended!1 Like |

This meekpie of a guy is unfortunately not joining the first edition of the race because Toyota just made a recall. The recall covers engine, transmission, seats, bonnets, tyres, body, chassis and suspension.... Even the driver is being deployed to sambisa as a quantity surveyor..... Whilst we hope the recalls would be fixed on time, Toyota has vehemently denied even producing his own particular unit... Made-in-china seems stamped all over it... Even on the driver. Been following your thread... 2 observations: 1. Sometimes it isn't the car but the driver that makes the difference ( in no way discountenancing that the car might be all the difference!) 2. Unbridled speed alone doesn't win a race, BUT a delicate melody of speed when the conditions allow and braking when it cannot be avoided is all you (sometimes) need to win a race |

As for haters, the INFINITI Qx4 has been nominated as the winner for this race, the charger and challenger didn't make it they had premium gas problem along the way, the yaris split up like banana splits luckily the driver was thrown in the bush, the sport trac as at latest news is carrying kilogram work of carbohydrates from mile 12 to ikorodu, the Avalon couldn't couldn't make it the owner had to rush home to prepare dinner for her man and the kids.
