The word of God in Matthew 7:7 says, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for”

That means when you are asking God for a particular thing; it may be a job, a business breakthrough, children and may be money and when you ask it seems like He is not answering you, don’t give up, keep asking Him and one day He will answer and give it to you.


When a child asks his father for a football, the father comes back from work with a football for him, but a teenage child asks a rich father to buy a car for him and the father refuses, that doesn’t mean the father does not have the money to buy it nor does it mean that he would never buy it for him, if the child keeps asking, after a time, the father will buy it for him. He may be waiting for the right time when he feels the child has come of age to use a car, when the use will not harm him.


It’s the same way with our heavenly Father, sometimes when we ask Him, he answers immediately and some other time He does not? Why because He knows what we need and He will give it to us at the proper time when He knows it will add value to our lives, when He knows it will not influence us negatively.


Keep on seeking and you will find. You are searching for knowledge on how to be successful in life, keep on searching and you will find it.


Don’t stop knocking on the door and the door will be eventually opened for you. Let’s literally look at a condition where someone comes to your house at a time you didn’t feel like seeing anyone. The person knocks on your door but you did not reply, you think it will make him go away. But because he was convinced that you are inside, he keeps knocking, at a time you will have no choice but to open the door for him.


You are doing a particular business, maybe it is even a talent you are nurturing, you see others prospering in it, but you haven’t made a penny yet out of it. And lo! You are getting discouraged- no don’t do that. Keep on doing it, keep on and one day you will do something that will translate into your glory and God’s name will be glorified in your life in Jesus name.


He said everyone, he didn’t say some people or some races, or some tribes, no he said, “For everyone who asks, receives, everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened” Matthew 7:8


So why are you worried? Why does it look as if God has abandoned you!


He said, “You parents- if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him” Matthew 7:9-11


Think of it truly, you that are an earthly parent with limited resources, feeds your children at all costs. How much more your heavenly Father who created you and also owns everything?

Why not ask Him today for that thing that you need; that business breakthrough you so much desire, that marriage partner you need.


There’s nothing you ask God for that He is not capable of doing; put your trust in Him, He is never tired, He will give you all you need. Keep on asking, don’t give up!
