Trueblu, you are being true to yourself by writing this beautiful and emotional piece. Believe me, it is a good step in the direction of recovery for your heart. From experience, may I tell you that Love is as real as life. It has it's own merits and demerits. Butterflies in the tummy one minute, burning rage and jealousy the next moment. But to loose in love is a million times better than not to experience love at all. Don't carry a fragile or shattered heart along the road to the next person. Remember the Yoruba saying: 'Ti esin ba da'ni, a tun gun ni'. When you fall, you rise up yet again. Love is the most beautiful emotion. Experience it no matter the outcome. 2 Likes |

I wish the persona to whom this is addressed could read it and understand she is holding a heart at ransom. Sometimes, it fails, and sometimes it works out, but this is not to say that we should prevent ourselves from going forward. OP, your art of expression is flawless but still, sometimes, we must learn to stop in our tracks and self-examine what happened and how it went wrong. Our joy is not glued to just one person. It's high time you put the past behind and move on. Just like Lemar Obika's song, it is 'Time to Grow.' |
